Well there are a couple of things u could do, but the most important part is to clear your head before u go to bed. If u keep thinking about WBTB while u are trying to sleep, it's just gonna keep u up. |

Ever since summer started I can't do wake back to bed anymore. I have been trying to do WBTB for 7 days now. It usually goes like this: Go to bed at 11pm, set my alarm at 4.30am, Then I'm still awake at 12.30am, So I change my alarm to 5am because you need atleast 4.30 hours of sleep, I keep on changing until I realise it's already 2am (too late). So I quit WBTB that night. Then I usually wake up at around 11am. During school I could WBTB easily, because I would fall asleep quickly but now ever since summer started I don't. I don't do much atm, just hang out with my friends, play some video games,.. Does anyone know how to fall asleep when you're not really tired? Because I know WBTB increases your chances of having lucid dreams so yeah |

I can see you sleep through your bedroom window. You're killing yourself with lucid dreaming.

All successful people men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose.
It's best to have failure happen early in life. It wakes up the Phoenix bird in you so you rise from the ashes.
Maybe it's not the right technique for you? It possibly is knowing you have to sleep that keeps you up. How about not using an alarm, do you wake naturally in the night? Try really wearing yourself out during the day (go to the gym, or another activity / have a day full of jobs or something) so you fall asleep easily. The most important thing would be to relax. Try some meditation techniques to help you fall asleep, maybe the 61-point technique? Or you could listen to some relaxing music, or read a book. |

My Dream Journal = http://www.dreamviews.com/blogs/isthisit/ DILDs - 9 WILDs - 5
Ooh, their breath is warm
And they smell like sleep
And they say they take me home
Like poppies heavy with seed
They take me deeper and deeper
If your normal sleep hours are 2-11, just set your alarm for 7:00. If you get to bed earlier, it's no big deal. I know I generally need 6 hours of sleep to do WBTB sufficiently. |

Spoiler for Dream Goals:
A WBTB is best done four to six hours after falling asleep in my opinion. Just work around your sleep schedule. |

I know WBTB is recommended after at least 4.5 hrs of sleep and that's how I do it most of the time. But I have tried after as little as 3.5 hrs of sleep. I didn't get a WILD (which I didn't get after longer sleep either) but I have ben getting DILDs from it. So I don't think you have anything to lose trying. At least you will find out if it is for you or not. |
