Your wording is confusing, but lets break things down.
WILD, which stands for Wake Initiated Lucid Dream, is a process where you enter a dream state while retaining consciousness, creating a lucid dream.
Lucid Dreams take place in REM.
Attempting WILD at night can work but most attempts at lucid dreaming work better in the later sleep periods, after 5 to 6 hours of sleep. WILD can also have great success with naps and using the WBTB method.
Feel free to attempt a WILD at night. You may get results. If you don't, try it at a different time.
