To be blunt- I am scared

      Hello I'm Nude,

I was on here a while ago and then just stopped and now I am back into Lucid Dreaming. The reason I stopped was because of sleep paralysis. When I tried to lucid dream, I usually ended up in sleep paralysis. This was terrifying, and not comfortable. I usually ended up trying to force myself out of it. I saw all kinds of colors an heard loud ringing and vibrating noises. I want to lucid dream but I'm scared of facing sleep paralysis. Any tips on getting rid of this fear? Thanks, I'm usually a paranoid person In general XD

      -Thanks for your time
      Nudge ^~^

      PS: Sorry about my grammar-

to become lucid you don't have to undergo SP. that's mainly with WILD's. try looking into the other techniques, such as DILD, SSILD, WBTB, MILD, and so forth hope this helps! cheers

The same thing happened to me when I first started. I was a little scared by sleep paralysis, but I read up on it and realized that it is just in your mind. Just remember that it is all in illusion, and eventually over time, you'll get used to it. I actually look forward to sleep paralysis now, just to see what my mind can think up next, and also knowing that after it I will be in a Lucid Dream, able to do all sorts of things. Hope I helped a little.

I used to be really scared of SP.

Now I'm just a little scared of it but if I'm in a positive frame of mind I an go with it.

So yeah, you'll get less and less scared incrementally the more you experience it.

Or there are the other techniques, as pointed out

You don't have to go through SP to obtain a lucid dream. Use the DILD method, its just like having a normal dream but being able to control it.

When you WILD you will go into sleep paralysis so it is kind of unavoidable if you are wanting to master the WILD method but you must remember that it is all in your head. Nothing you are seeing is real, it's just a combination of images and sounds from your own head. I find that keeping a scientific and logical mind when doing this kind of thing helps a lot because it usually stops you from freaking out because you know exactly what is happening to you.

If you truly feel that you can not get over your fear of sleep paralysis, try another method of lucid dreaming such as DILD, MILD and WBTB.
      Good luck ^.^

Just think of it as another type of dream. Stay lucid through sleep paralysis the way you would through any dream. It is pretty exhilarating. People pay good money for drugs that don't feel half as amazing.

i had my first sleep paralysis episode today. I was doing a DEILD and remembered my dream perfectly. I started to imagine myself back in my dream and shiet started to get real. All of a sudden it felt like there was an earthquake in my room and crazy loud wind noises. It startled me a bit and i snapped out of it but it was also a very wild and fun experience. Hopefully i can do that again and go lucid for the first time.

I can understand how people can find SP a very scary experience , but you need to prepare yourself mentally , telling your self what ever you see or hear cannot hurt you . I remember the first few times I saw things which im frightened of in waking life , but I told myself its all a hallucination and started laughing inside my head
