      So frustrated...

I've tried everything for weeks. I've only had one MILD on accident, tried WILD, tried DEILD... nothing! I've done WBTB, I've struggled with WILD to find out I could not get past colored images. I can't even DEILD because when I wake up my eyes snap open, only seconds later I realized I failed my attempts. My brother effortlessly performed a WILD when he was tired from work: He layed down, minutes later he created a dream. It's so frustrating. I need help, guys.

Why are you getting frustrated with not being able to WILD when MILD already works for you? Many people that are new to this try to jump straight into WILD when it is the most difficult technique. If I were you, stay focused on MILD, since you already had one lucid dream by "accident". You know it works for you. Also, don't let the jealousy from your brother affect your choice of technique. Everyone is different when it comes to lucid dreaming, and the best technique for someone else may not be the best for you.

I'm not saying you shouldn't use the WILD, it's a fine technique, and many lucid dreamers have benefited from it. It's just not the best technique for those who are just starting out.

Also don't neglect the basics, reality checks and dream recall are very important.

Frustration will not help. Take every attempt as a lesson that takes you one step closer.

And all of those techniques take time and numerous attempts to even start learning and familiarize yourself with this totally alien process and sensations that come with it.

You have to train yourself to remember to stay still for DEILD, find the right time and lenght for WBTB, have patience and have a bunch of variables go exactly right for a WILD, have good recall and do RCs plus daytime awareness training right (with emotions put in it) plus mantras for a DILD.

And MILD/DILD is quite powerfull and has a great rate of success, once you get into habit of it. You would benefit if you had a few DILDs under your belt before you go for WILDs. That doesn't mean, that you can't try a WILD when conditions are right, but you should concentrate on DILDs. They will give you confidence.

And for a DEILD - be patient. Wait for the right time to happen - when you wake up from a dream but you don't wake up too much.

Don't forget about excitement and intent.

Please check out the classes in DV Academy. Happy dreams

I do Reality Checks and write down my dreams every day, I didn't think it was necessary to include.

Just carry on writing your dreams down and every night before you go to sleep be confident that you will lucid dream. I used no techniques to get all my lucid dreams and I'm not a natural lder.

How long have you been doing all these techniques exactly? The key isn't to try all the techniques at the same time within weeks of each other, the key is to pick one technique and stick with it for AT LEAST a month or more.

It all takes people different amount of time to achieve lucidity. Unfortunately, some longer than others. You said you had one MILD already? That's a good technique to start off with. Read this MILD guide by Naiya. Follow everything she says and do mantras every night telling yourself you will get lucid.

Do not give up so easily! You are able to do this, just stay motivated. Good luck, if you have any questions let us know.
