Hey there. I've had a few lucid dreams the past month, not the first time, but the most in a row. So I read a book called "Oneironautics" to learn some more techniques (spinning was very helpful). I'm glad I found this forum!
I already had a practice of reality checking whenever I saw a feather, of trying to push my finger through my hand.
Here's my question: Is it possible that stating "This is a dream." could be more effective than asking "Am I dreaming?"? You then try to control the environment with a strong intention, and if it works you know you're dreaming.
It's kind of backwards to say "This is a dream." while you're in waking life, but it might be more successful.
Any thoughts?
