"I must have a lucid dream" - then having it, anyone else?

I remember when i was going to have my 100th that i was going to write down, so before going to sleep i kept thinking about "oh man i just HAVE to get a lucid dream " etc. So that night i had probably two of the longest and vivid full LDs iv had and two FAs. I almost literally forced my self to have LD so i got it really well. Has this ever happened to you? Could it actually work(or be smart?) to force your self noticing you're dreaming? Opinions.

Im glad my 100th written night turned out... pretty well then

I wish that happened with me
always when i go to bed i have a mantra roling on my head
"I know that i am dreaming"
      "I am dreaming"
and then i just get a normal dream with no lucidness. i get so frustrated.

Ok, I am at about 110. I notice I have about 1 LD a week. After 7 days I'm thinking "I am due to have one now. I REALLY need to have one!". So I agree with your premise... it does seem to work. But, I cant seem to get that focused intent daily. Not sure if it is me or a natural cycle.

What you did is you set your intent. You didn't wish for it, you KNEW you gonna have LD. Sometimes it works. Just don't push it too much.

It also helps if you write your intend in your dream journal in a form of a contract. Contract is something that's non-negotiable. Date it, sign it, mean it.

You must of already heard this dozen of times and it REALLY sounds crazy but you can do .... anything. Except things you cant imagine (such as creating a new color)

      Congrats!
I was trying it as well, sometimes it works for me, sometimes does not, probably depends on the mindset i have when thinking about it.

Every time my mom says something like; "If you don't get up good tomorrow on your own then you're going to get in trouble!!!!" I have a lucid dream that night and wake up on my own at the exact time.
I've done this probably 100 times.
I haven't used an alarm clock in years.

I did exactly this and it does work, maybe not every time. But I think if you just keep beliving in it no matter if you have a lucid dream that night or not.

One night I said to myself that I will have a lucid dream that night. I did a little note in my dreamjournal that I had a lucid dream already because I was telling myself that I will have one. In the morning I wake up without a lucid dream that I promised myself. I go to bed the next night and telling myself "hey look, I already wrote down that I had a lucid dream here in my dj last night, and I had none. So I need to have a lucid dream tonight". I go to bed after that simple process, falling asleep almost instant as usual. Then in the dream after a while when I look down from a high roof I think to myself how real this feel and I see something down there that's almost vibrating in my vision, thinking it looks a bit odd. I decide that I would try a RC, breathing in my nose while holding it. I almost know it wasn't going to work cus everything seemed so normal. But then of course it did work, and I became aware that it was a dream.

sometimes, specially when practicing ADA, i get a gut feeling, like strong confidence or premonition, that i will have a LD. itīs not an intention, i just know it will happen.

Check your memory, did any suprising event happpen ? does the present make sense ? visualize what you will do when lucid, and how. Reality check as reminder of your intention to lucid dream tonight. Sleep as good as you can; when going to sleep, relax and invite whatever comes with curiosity. Grab your dream journal immediately as you awake and write everything you can recall (if only when you wake up for good). Keep calm, positive and persistent, and don't forget to have fun along the way

Im trying to achieve that feeling for every night for about one month now. I started a new "chapter"[24.3-1.5] on my real life dream journal and im attending to make that chapter one of the best so far. I hope that it will boost my intention on having amazing lucid dream experiences that i may even post here.

usually that feeling pops up when i imagine i am lucid dreaming during the day and pay close attention to my surroundings. but it only happens when i am doing it regularly and really enjoying it. now, my main confidence comes from my WILD attempts ( which i use only as a DILD booster, giving me LDs everynight i try so far )

i think that the more consistent we are with practice the more confident we get, so we can probably induce that feeling
