Last night I had a few minute long lucid, though it wasn't all that clear and my memory is foggy. One thing I often do towards the beginning of a LD is chant "I will stay in this dream" or something on those lines a few times to try and reinforce the fact that it is a dream and try to convince myself it won't end quick. Usually there is no direct response from the dream for this nor do I expect it; I occasionaly get the odd whispering from DCs in the background "What is he on about?" sort of response, though nothing more than that.

This time after I said it I heard a voice and if I remember correctly (it's hazy) it said "Of course you will". It didn't sound like it was from a person near me or from inside my head, it sounded like it was directly in my ear. At the time with my reduced dream IQ, I thought the real me must have whispered it in bed and someone from the real world said that back and I heard it in the dream (which is odd because I live on my own).

Just wondered if there are any thoughts about this such as if it could be my subconscious acknowledging a request. Or at least I just wanted to mention it or see if anyone has had anything similar. It hasn't bothered me or anything but it was a very odd experience, one of the strangest I've had during lucidity, and ironically, this was longer than many of my LDs and particulary good to say it was between snoozes on my alarm clock (9 minutes).
