Thread: An interesting music question.. - advanced dreamers -

hey people,

I've always been wondering if you can make music in a LD and then make a perfect replica of that song in waking life. That would be so amazing, because i sometimes make music in my dreams thats simply heavinly.

Another thing; a lucid dream is rather personal, so is the music you're making so heavenly because it comes directly from your own subconsciousness and desires for music, or is the subconscious simply more creative and is the music made in LD's really just very beautifull..?

Actually, in my sleep paralysis I have heard AMAZING music that plays, I don't decide it playing and it sounds like advanced music. But being wide awake I can never quite remember them, and that is one problem I have with lucid dreaming and sleep paralysis, I can remember every little detail of what I see, feel and smell. But what I hear is another story, every voice I hear is like a foreign language I only understand in my sleep paralysis or LD, and as I wake up I can only know the meaning what said, not the words. And music (the tunes) is often forgotten immediately after waking up. But if you don't have the same problem, and also have good talent for making music, then I'd say go for it.

Also, I am very creative in waking life, and I can say I'm about 10 times more creative in sleep paralysis and Lucid Dreams.

I think i'm going to train myself to remember music. I mean, why can we remember what we smell, see and feel and not hear? It must be trainable! I sometimes have those SP with amazing music aswell man. Can't remember any tune of it when i wake up tho..

It's very possible. It just takes some practice. Train for a few lucids and you will get it. It's the same principle for smell or dream control, you just have to get used to it.

Well, there is one time I remember something said when waking up, but that is because I heard it as I was waking up from a Lucid Dream and about 1 second after waking up, and the word said and repeated was ''Zelaetaway'', but I mostly think I remember it because I was in fact waking up.

Also I almost always talk from personal experience with Lucid Dreams, so keep that in mind. But I'd say it is trainable, if you really try and remember it you probably will some of the times, and keep a recording device (such as phone) near the bed so you can hum the tunes immediately after you wake up if you you want to remember them (as it is little bit easier if you know how it was played), that is my advice, because the memory of dreams is always a little bit fresher after waking up.

That's interesting... I've never thought about it, what's strange, but a friend of mine has recently told me that in her paralysis she often hears wonderful jazz pieces, but she can't remember them later. I wonder if it's just a dreamy illusion of wonderfulness, or the music our subconciousness creates is really so outstanding. If it is... Wow, that'd be a powerful weapon.

Creepy as hell! Definitely conveys a dream-like flavour...

As long as you remember music from dream and as long as you can find fitting physical instruments or instrument sets for music making applications it should be definitely possible!
As for second question, i'd say a bit of both.
