Okay last night something amazing happened, and pushed me to join the forums (I had been lurking for quite some time now). Anyway, as background info, I have been trying to get to sleep paralysis for just over a year now, no success unfortunately. So last night I go to bed at 9 and wake up at 3 as usual and lay on my back for as long as I can bear. Like any other time, I just feel really relaxed but nothing ever really comes up except for some wave feelings. After about 40 minutes I just give up like usual and move to the other side of the bed because it is cooler and lay on my side. And that's when it happened.
All of a sudden after 30 seconds or so, I felt these extremely intense flashes of pain (about 2 per second) all over my body, beginning at my feet if I remember correctly. I was pretty excited until my eyes began to slowly open by themselves, and I get scared of what I will see when they are fully opened, and I close them forcefully, and in the blink of a cosmic eye all the feeling is gone and I "wake up" again.
Now, I have a few questions, 1. Was this the onset of sleep paralysis and 2. What caused it to go away? Excitement or me trying to close my eyes because I got scared?
