      Music and Lucid Dreaming

Does anyone else get inspiration to lucid dream from listening to music? Maybe I am just weird, but sometimes when I listen to music, I just get a surge of inspiration, like I am ready to just fall asleep and go for it.

I either listen to Imagine Dragons, FUN, or Owl City.

Owl City is one of my favorites. Galaxies and Dreams Don't Turn to Dust are some of the songs I listen to for inspiration.

PS: I am listening to music right now

I love dreamy, flowing albums quite a bit - Fatal Nostalgia happens to be a favorite of mine.

I do sometimes suddenly feel empowered by music to just go out there and try something, whether it be drawing or dreaming.

Completely off topic, but I think I just noticed your avatar and burst out laughing.

Anyways, I'll have to check them out.

Completely agree, music has always been a real trigger for me; usually for anything I am passionate about, however, it's often certain music genres that get me going, such as chill step for lucid dreaming, rock for rock climbing (go figure ) ect.

I got a link to them right here: Fatal Nostalgia. I love listening to Halcyon Nostalgia while laying down - it's really ambient and truly envokes the dream feeling.

It's worth checking out Approaching Nirvana. In my opinion, their music (progressive house kind of thing I think?), mostly their older stuff, is really motivating and it captures that exciting powerful lucid dream-y feeling. It's also good for writing or playing Minecraft or just doing anything creative, in my opinion.

I really like all of their songs, but I'll just link to two of my many favorites, hehe:

Approaching Nirvana - Worth a Thousand Pictures - YouTube

I love music for inspiration. I listen to up in the air and I can only imagine. The best is "Breath of Life", wow, that is something special!
I fill my heart with fire, with passion, passion for what makes me nostalgic. A unique perspective fuels my fire, makes me discover new passions, more nostalgia. I love it.

I'm a musician and i composed some music inspired by dreams, as i had dreams inspired by music also.
In a recent lucid dream, to stabilize it, i began to sing one of my songs. I heard an orchestra following my music as the environment began to form planets, stars and i travelled through space. It was beautiful.

I sort of get things the other way round. I sometimes dream of music I've not heard before, or even get something original going in my head when in a very near sleep state. And I have a sort of recurring dream about 2 songs that I have tucked away somewhere on a memory stick or whatever is being used in the dream; you know, not just on a regular album disc, that I keep meaning to listen to or trying to cycle to while in the car. I'm very curious to explore this in a lucid sometime. But overall all this makes me want to find music in waking life similar to what I'm hearing at these times.

I'm a composer as well. A couple of weeks ago in a vivid non-lucid I dreamt I had created a song that I thought was brilliant but never would have thought of in waking life; I find it absolutely astonishing the things that your subconscious can come up with in dreams. I've yet to actually make the song itself IWL, but I still have the idea locked in my head.
I plan to attempt to compose music in lucid dreams as well. I think dreams have a lot of potential for making anything artistic or creative.
