Once I Achieve LD, Will I Be Able To Stop Having Them?

      Hey guys,
This it my first post in this forum. I've read most of the information about LD on your site and currently I'm writing a sleep journal, and making RCs. But if i don't like having intentional LDs, when I stop using MILD and stop writing SJ and doing RCs, will I stop having LDs? And will something of my daily routines change after I begin having LDs? I'm just trying to understand if there is a reverse button after doing this . By the way I have had DILDs, so I know what LDs are like, but they are very rare . I'm just concerned what will happen if I have frequent LDs.

Welcome DrCIH. If you are like me, if you stop all the LDing techniques you will stop most of your lucid dreaming. When I am not pursing LDs, They become very rare (see my signature below I have gone years without any).

      Total LDs (some very brief) = 2004: 4 * 2005: 18 * 2006: 16 * 2007: 2 * 2008: 0 * 2009: 0 * 2010: 1 * 2011: 12 * 2012: 3 * 2013: 1 * 2014: 6 * 2015: 1 * 2016: 0 * 2017: 18 * 2018: 3 * 2019: 0 (so far)

Wait for the "problem" before worrying about "fixing" it. Usually the issue is in getting enough satisfying LDs, not trying to stop having them. Seriously, if you stop daytime awareness / RC work, and don't work actively on dream recall, the abilities will fade.
