Bankai Thread

Have any of you guys ever tried to learn bankai in your dream? I think it would be a good learning experience similar to finding your dream guide, because a persons zanpakuto is a manifestation of themself. In the Bleach series, a persons bankai was like their other half. If any of you guys have ever done this in a dream please share your story of what it was like, and how the experience of meeting yourself was!

Your title says Substitute Soul Reaper. That's how they translate it in the anime? If it means that you have only watched the anime I can only strongly suggest that you read the manga which is much further in the story than the anime (and doesn't have silly fillers...).
Anyway I will definetly have to remember to learn Bankai when I learn to lucid dream! It's a really great idea

Well I just put that title, there are so many translations "shinigami" "death god" etc... I do read the manga! Its incredible and its the only thing left for the series sadly, I did enjoy the show. But anyways, I'm excited to see who can accomplish this. Post back if you get any results!!

Aha! I used bankai last night, unfortunately since I'm a noob at lucid dreaming it turned out to be ichigos bankai. If I get one of those long lucid dreams then I'm gonna try finding my personal one. It was still cool though

In order to become skillful enough to be able to bankai you would have to train a lot imo.
The first step is finding your zanpakuto, which I had some troubles with, I tried summoning it in some ways but it didnt work.
Ive been in ichigo's bankai twice but those were normal dreams.
Thanks for reminding me, I'll try to find my zanpakuto in my next lucids. ^^

I've been trying to do this. Not much time at the moment. I don't believe my subconscious is creative enough to make a bankai on it's own let alone its different characteristics. So I decided to design it my self. It's name is Shiriusu, it's the Japanese name for Sirius, the brightest star in the sky

Normally if you are actively trying to change parts of your dream (like with lucidity) you need to take the time to make things like that when awake. That way it will work the way you want. Control your subconscious.

@y'all.
I always liked shinigami best, but probably because of death note. It would be fun to try shinji's shikai. Very confusing.

I like the idea of training in dream though for your own.

yeah, Shinigami is best! Or maybe I only think so because I heard it more

I got a feeling that my Bankai would be ranged or something really sneaky but I hope my subconscious will be able to take care of the creative part.
Would be infinitly more awesome to have it created from your subconscious!

This is exactly what I want! In the same way the shinigamis did (ichigo and renji) were able to in their 3 day intense bankai training facility I really believe our subconscious will create a unique bankai if we can just tap into that part.... I'm very sure we can create one that we've never imagined though and I look forward to doing it

Sounds like a good goal for me to start working towards now that I'm back. I made a good idea of a bankai but not a full idea, I'm hoping for my creativity to make up the rest while in my dream. I should probably get better at lucid dreaming again and do this.

I tried to do bankai in one of my dreams. I was in the underground part of urahara's shop training against him when he told me i could do bankai. The first thing that came to mind was to do ichigos stance when he does bankai and when i went to do it i woke up

Damn man! So close, keep it up. Hopefully you get a unique bankai when you succeed cause i only got ichigos. And it wasnt dramatic either, no getsuga or anything. Just instant transform.

that's still awesome on your part. It would be really cool to have my own zanpakuto in my dreams that I could summon at anytime with my own unique shekai and banaki ;o

I really want to try to do byakuyas bankai because it is just so bad ass, man holy nostalgia i feel like re-watching bleach again because it's so awesome!

im trying something similar to this, ninjutsu from naruto, but i stil havent had an ld to do this, but it would be awesome to do a resengan, it just sound awesome in my mind

I would recommend chidori! I memorized the hand signs and was able to get lightning in a LD. It was awesome! Of course rasengan would be pretty awesome to attack with. You just might have to summon a kage bunshin though.

Chidori is not powerful, I was actually going to do the rasen shuriken in the latest shippuden episode, I looked awesome

Chidori, my friend, is S-class. And if you watch the naruto/Sasuke fight you will notice that after a head on chidori vs rasengan, naruto didn't get up and sasuke did. Rasenshuriken is way stronger though! It is so awesome! I want to try a clone though and try to get the double experience in a LD.

I'm glad I got everybody so enthusiastic about this, kinda off topic but a good song is Bleach's season 2 opening. Search it up (Uverworld-D tecnolife) my Japanese teacher was playing it this morning haha
