Yes. It is a struggle to stay consistent with anything. It is only eased up if you find people to walk behind and with on the road to it. |

Does anybody else get extremely frustrated with lucid dreaming? I have been trying lucid dreaming for almost a year now and still have had little success. Every lucid dream I've had has either been foggy or about 5 minutes in length. It's really annoying because I spend a lot of time writing down my dreams and reading about lucid dreaming. So I was wondering if anyone has any tips or similar feelings. I know I'm still somewhat new so I'm sure I'll get better as time goes on but still... XD |

WBTB. Narrow your focus to just 1 or 2 dreamsigns. Choose a new goal that you can get excited about. Combine whatever you're doing now with MILD or SSILD if you don't already, and think about your dreamsign+goal during those sessions. Enjoy your non-LDs. When recalling dreams in your journal, focus more on picking out sensory details instead of retelling plot action. |

I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.
There is certainly a struggle associated with lucid dreaming, but I like to think of it more as a challenge! |

Hey! |

You are not alone! I've also been into this for a bit more than a year now and it can be difficult at times to keep up the motivation if there's little pay-off. I find it helpful to think of how much better I'll have got in several months' time if I keep at it. On nights that I don't have lucids, I think I'm one night closer to having the next lucid, and on nights that I do have a lucid, I think it will be easier to have the next one. Also, follow sisyphus advice, it sounds very helpful. Just think that for some people it's easier than others, but that's okay, we'll make it too! |
