My experiences with cheddar cheese and lucid dreaming!

So I had just read about cheddar cheese and how it makes you dream of celebrities and I wanted to try it and I ate a slice 30 minutes before bed and to my surprise I had a lucid dream but it was a dream within a dream but I was lucid in the second dream and it was so long about an hour and the most vivid I've had I just ate my cheese so I'll be up for about 20 min then sleep and I'll post my findings tomorrow please if you try this let me know your experiences

Congrats on the lucid dream and nice going on the length (though I do doubt it was as long as an hour, I don't doubt that it was long).
However, just remember there's no reason to believe that dreams within dreams are possible. As far as anyone can tell, scientist or otherwise, going to "sleep" in a dream and waking up in "another" dream is likely the result of a quick dream scene change that we attribute to a dream within another dream. In actuality it's almost certainly the same dream, just a different location (if you can even define the places in dreams as "locations" in the first place).

My Lucid Dreaming Motto - "I have walked upon the the surface of a burning star. Observed events so infinitesimal and instantaneous that they can barely be described as having occurred at all. You... you're just a dream character. And this world's most powerful dream character poses no more threat to me than it's smartest cupcake." - Dr. Manhattan (kinda)

When I think of dream within a dream, it has to involve a lucid state... losing lucidity and immediately switching to another dream with or without gaining lucidity. It's like a false awakening. It's just terminology though and I have no attachment to it nor would I say it's an accurate description, but it kind of does the trick to describe being lucid, losing it, and immediately going into a another dream. At least for me it does.

I never knew that eating cheddar cheese was a thing for lucid dreaming lol.

Cool, I suppose. I heard somewhere that eating cheese before bed would cause nightmares... Not sure on how true that is, but I think Giz did a video on that at some point.

Also, try not to get yourself constipated.

After reading this thread I did some research and the information about cheese causing you to dream was originally a study put out by a dairy company. Probably rather biased. Blue cheese is said to be more likely to induce dreaming if cheese in fact does help.

I couldn't knock it till I tried it though, so I went out and bought blue cheese and cheddar and pounded them before bed. The dreams were pretty typical but the vividness was a hair improved. I would have to do some more experimenting to determine the true effects of the cheese on dreaming.

I think you'll need a bit more evidence and test results before you make such claims.
