Getting back into LD need help

So im going to try my best to get back into LD and I need advice on how I can stick at it and keep motivation, I stopped the last time and the time before that because of motivational issues, I have never gotten to the point of becoming fully conscious and I think once I reach that I will be hooked. I have my goals, I know what I want to do but its keeping the motivation to stick at it, any advice?

Personally I keep my motivation up by thinking like this;As everyone does I make lots of RC's,keep dream journaling and also meditation so I am doing all this to achieve lucidity right?

I may not be lucid much(btw I've had only 8 in 7 months)but I know one day these practises will show its power and I dont know how long does it take maybe 1 year maybe 2?And I will start having lots of lucid dreams. So this is basically what keeps me motivated.

Sorry for my bad english if there is any mistakes.

Having goals that I am excited about helps for me.
Also, celebrating every small victory. Maybe the other night I didn't have a lucid dream because my reality check failed, but at least it's a sign I'm on the right track.
Appreciating non-lucid dreams is good too.

same position here. ive taken 2 rather lengthy breaks and am trying to get back in. this may sound kinda dumb but watch inception again, sometimes it gives inspiration. I've been trying more lately again, reviving the practice. staying active on the forum also helps. the community here is one of the most supportive I have ever seen, and dealt with. shout out to my fellow forum users, you guys and gals are awesome!

Just keep trying to the point you are fully conscious... because yea once you get to that point you will be hooked. I really don't think there is any more to it than just being aware before sleep, repeating a mantra, and visualize lucid dreaming in your mind (when I say visualize I mean believing that when you dream you will be aware enough to become lucid). If you can't do that... then you are just too lazy to lucid dream haha. It still might just randomly happen, but I'll tell ya a little goes a long way at least in my experience.

I have a lot of dry spell of lucid dreaming, and it's very hard to get a lucid dream(I always thought that once you get your first LD, the others will come naturally, but it was not the case). But what motivate me are: sharing my dreams here on my DJ, my goals, reading subject about LD etc...

+ Make a promise to yourself that you will not quit. Allow yourself like one day a year (Sensei does this) where you can quit LDing if you want to, otherwise, you MUST continue with practice. Many people get those moments of "what am I doing, spending all this effort on?", but it's all worthwhile when you get awesome dreams and can recall dreams every night.

+ Work hard on recall. Because once you get regular non-lucids, this sustains interest and motivation.

+ Find a form of waking awareness practice (not "ADA" necessarily, I prefer mindfulness/breath focus/tibetan dream yoga approach) that agrees with you and do it, and stick with it

+ Don't quit. Don't be discouraged if progress takes time: remember -- slow progress IS progress! The time will pass anyway! Wouldn't you rather have it pass gaining in dreaming ability day by day?

+ Love all your dreams, especially the non-lucid ones. They're usually the most interesting, anyway . Treat LDing as a life journey rather than as a static destination, and your perspective will become correct.
