Creating & returning to dream realms?

      Hey guys,

As I'm quite new to the forum but not the concept of LDing (actually doing it, I am pretty new to ), I wanted to ask whether it is possible to have/anyone actually has a "realm" of sorts that they consistently visit in their lucid dreams. Say you had some particular TV show or movie or game that you liked the universe of, and you wanted to spend your time there, do you come back to that? Same DCs, buildings, places, etc? Or is this not possible as it's constantly changing? Or does it just require a lot more focus and practice?

It is possible if you believe it is possible, also if you believe into the experiences of others. In this case I'm of course talking about Hyu's dreams. He is one of the masters of DV when it comes to persistent realms and his stories are worth reading Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views - Hyu's Adventures - Dream Journals. Never managed to do it myself yet

Yep it is possible, the method however is up to you and how you want your own world.

I have a total of 3 different worlds right now, Dream World, Book World and FA world.

For me, they move independently from my own sleeping hours; for example, can stay for a week in FA world and when I go back to DW, a week will have gone through since my last visit. IMO this makes it much easier to have a persistent realm because this way, changes have a "reason" as time has passed by and makes it all the more interesting if you leave one planet for several years alone and then go back.

I just visited an old dream "enemy" yesterday, we had a talk about my destruction of entire worlds on a whim and how it is starting to piss off his whole race and what not, it was qutie fun actually.

So yeah, it will depend on what you want. I don't have to actively think of what I want it to look like, because I will know it is the same world but with a different storyline as time has passed by, doesn't requires that much control if you ask me.

This is what I'm eventually striving for. Multiple realms I can visit. For example, a Star Wars based realm where I am a Jedi/Sith or whatever. Then a Marvel realm which takes place in the MCU. Then a Mortal Kombat realm would be awesome!

I could practically be playing 4 different characters, my real self in WL. Then when I sleep, I become another character depending on where I want to go realm wise.

Would take a while to achieve that amount of Dream Control though and I am having major struggle with becoming Lucid recently, thus demolishing motivation *sighs sadly*

I don't see why it would be that difficult.
That is why mine has the freedom to change while I'm away, so that it doesn't requires that extra control where everything has to be perfect.
In fact, if you think about it, the whole place being perfectly the same as the last time you went there, would totally defeat the purpose of it being a realm, I say, let dreams be flexible and oneself be flexible with them as to make the most with just the right amount.
