      Struggling with wild

Hello guys! So now I am gonna be "squeamis" and try to do wild.

So tonight i tryed or or when i woke up earlier this morning.

I tryed to relax my body, i even put on some lucid nap Hypnosis + Binaural Beats.

But everytime i'm trying i either cant by the following steps:

      1. Can't stop swallowing
      2. Does it matter where my hands are? can they be on my chest?
      3. How long will it take before i go in to a SP?
      4. What do you think while you are doing a WILD?

ANd do i need to lay on my back while doing this? Can i lay on the side ?
And some people keep saying "Do reality check" , How will this work when I get in to a SP? How do i reality check when i cant move?

WILD is simply falling asleep consciousness. That's saying that your body needs to think that your minds asleep, so it falls asleep, and you can conciously enter a dream. Also SP is almost completly irrelevant. It definitely shouldn't be a goal, and neither should any other sensations like vibrations, hallucinations, sounds, etc. don't focus on getting to these parts because it might not happen, and you won't be able to get to sleep by doing it.

You have to actually go to sleep, so if you try too hard you won't.
I've managed a few WILDs in the past. I did them on my back because I go to sleep too easily on my side, but on my back it took ages, like an hour and a half or more. This was after waking following about 4 hours sleep. I found it tiring because of the lack of sleep, but I guess I wasn't very good at it!
The LDs I had very of quite low lucidity and very short, so I've gone off them rather.

Swallowing is completely okay, but try not to do it unless necessary. Don't have the intent that you're not going to be able to fall asleep if you swallow even once. You can keep your hands anywhere you feel comfortable with, you want to feel cozy so you fall asleep easier. Like others said you don't want to aim for sleep paralysis, it's just a side effect that sometimes occur when trying to WILD. In WILD you transition straight into the dream without the paralysis part, so you shouldn't aim for it at all. But if you get to the numbing part ( not paralysis ) and it helps you relax and fall asleep easier, then aim for that part. When I used to WILD I let my mind wander and simply stayed lucid instead of trying to reach lucidity. You could try it with that mind-set too.
I think WILD is mainly done on the back, but I don't see why you shouldn't be able to do it on your side. I do it on my back too and it helps me stay focused, in fetal position I just feel too sleepy and I need "luck" to enter the WILD state. You could try to do a reality check everytime you wake up and make a habit out of it, so you won't miss any false awakenings and become lucid with them.
