People have asked a million times how ling it takes to learn to LD. It took me two weeks to have my first LD. Then I went another two weeks without one and got very discouraged. I even gave up for a week. But now I am back and optimistic. |

I flew in my first dream. Tip,I flew two ways. One,like physically flying, feeling it. And the 2nd way, more mental, like driving, expecting it,kinda forced. The first way felt more fun,so I stuck with it. Maybe try them out next LD. My LD were an exact representation of my effort applied I feel. Aside from the Dild. If I tried to wild, did my wbtb, reality checks, etc. I had LDs,but life got busy,so I stopped, but back now. |

It took me about 6 months for my first lucid, which lasted about 2-3 minutes. I got my second about 2 weeks after that, though it (and the next 4 or 5 lucids) lasted only a few seconds. I'd say it took probably 2 more months after my first lucid before I started having decent length and quality (and flight). But like Sensei said, it takes different lengths of time for different people, so don't be discouraged if you're not seeing results right away. Like Thomas Edison and the light bulb, you learn from every failure, which prepares you for your next success. |

I lucid dream fairly frequently. I have some dry spells, though. I've never induced an LD, I always become lucid spontaneously. As for flying, I've been able to fly in my dreams for as long as I can remember. |
|
if you start meditating for 20 minutes a day ( my suggestion is isha kriya ) you will be able to have an LD every single day ( like me ) in the form of a WILD, |
|
Isha kriya sounds as a good practice, if you do it everyday, try it once to eat a piece of very dark chocolate and see if you notice a sensation |

very difficult. Let's make you busy. It's the best way. |

I am glad you liked it! I made it so people would be prepared for the mental battle of continuing to LD. |

Well for me it took me about 5 months too have my first lucid dream i taut it was after 4 months but when i last checked it was after 5 months lol but i didn't get discouraged i was more motivated and last month i got 3 and this month 1 but even if i'm below average i think i will improve more in the future and my first dream journal took me 8 months to fill the second one took me 4 months with almost the same amount of dreams that's why i bought a bigger note book this time |
|
I started lucid dreaming at age of 16 and it was pretty easy (I think age is a big factor, the younger you are the easier it is to become lucid). I read Paul Tholey's book - BTW it is far inferior in terms of techniques and practicalities of LD compared to EWOLD - and had lucid dreams after a week or so. I did only RCs with some autosuggestions. All went well but had some really unpleasant experiences (some SP and lucid nightmare) and I took a break (for nearly 20 years |
|
I've got my first lucid dream 3 months after discovering it by using only reality checks, dream journal and WBTB. |

After I have a breakthrough (vivid dream or half-lucid dream), I need to start again the next day. My progress just resets. |

Hi, that's a good question. I've been practicing for about 5 months now. It took 3 weeks to induce one and I've averaged 2 a week since then. I've had 5 this week which I find very encouraging. I usually have to do WBTB then the MILD technique to have one. I also take galantamine 2x a week. The first 5-6 were very brief and I woke up almost immediately. I then tried some techniques like hand rubbing and touching and carrying items which helped lengthen some of them (not all). Had quite a few in the 3-10 min range. The last few weeks they were ending quickly again but had a long stable one last night using the technique of looking at my hand, then at the dream and back at my hand. A few nights ago I did the DEILD technique by grabbing onto something each time the dream would fade and I kept rubbing it until the dream re formed before me. This repeated several times. My skills vary. Flying was easy from day one, I'm able to walk through things about a third of the time, I've been able to get answers from dream characters some of the time and I've had the courage to face scary things about half the time. I've only ever been able to start sex, I always wake up so that is frustrating. I'm still trying to get the courage to face a whale and ask why I always dream of them, so far too scary! |

I needed a couple of month to brake through... Depending on what dose it exactly mean for you. I'm still not really good but progressing. I never had trouble with flying. |
