There will always be those people who refuse to accept the notion that one could truly be conscious in their dreams. To those people, lucid dreaming is along the lines of astrology, tarot cards, palm reading and other far-fetched, unprovable ideas. They view it as simple fairy tales. What they don't realize is that LDing is not only absolutely true and possible but that it has been scientifically proven beyond doubt. It's not science fiction - it's science fact. |

Yea, i got that, too. then i told them I felt sad for them cause they missing out on some out of this world SEX(sex in dreams). #&^$&, i being have sex with blank blank blank!!!! HAHAHA |

Hey, I'm 39 and I recently told my best friend (since junior high!) about my little hobby. And, I did it because he was freaked out about having SP once or twice. After I told him about it, he looked at me like he felt a little sorry for me that I could think something so stupid. He's not holding it against me, but still.... |

This lucid dream has encountered a fatal error! Reboot? [Y/N]

Well, what other hobby can you perform while asleep? Ask him that. |

Amazing how that works. Once you are a certain age people just don't argue. |

That's really interesting. I've actually encountered Freddy Kruger (sp) in a lucid dream. It was creepy as hell. I was in an abandoned school hallway, and there was a really odd wind blowing through the hall and that typical Nightmare on Elm Street music started playing and I was like, omg, Freddy's coming. And when he showed up...I was so scared that I seduced him so he wouldn't kill me (lmao) and it totally worked. I even fixed his face so that he wasn't burned anymore. What an odd, bizarre, and cool lucid dream... |
|
Well i read that expectation is the key to all lucid dreams.... |

I haven't yet come across somebody who thinks lucid dreaming is not possible. That might be because I am so selective about what people I talk to about it. If you want to convince somebody it is for real, ask them if it is possible to be dreaming and think think they are flying. After they of course say, "Yes," ask if it is possible to be dreaming and believe they are scuba diving. Ask a few more questions like that, and they should have a yes answer to all of them. Then say, "Is it possible to be dreaming and believe you are dreaming?" Your point will be proven, but they might still want to argue. If they say, "No," to the question, ask them why that is the one thing a person can't believe while dreaming. |
