Do you think about your real life in LDs?

Hey, I haven't posted or tried to LD or written down my dreams for a long time... Once school started, I got so busy I hardly had time to sleep, let alone write down what I saw in my sleep. ANYWAY....
Lately I've been having lots of dreams where I start thinking about my life (tasks I need to get done, how to handle relationships, etc), and then I wake up.
When you become lucid, do you think about things like this? Does it make you wake up? Is is easier/harder to think about them while sleeping?
      Ok post now

      I tend not to, personally.

I'm hesitant to say that anything definitely will or won't wake you up - or really to state anything in absolute terms when talking about dreams. That said, it's been my personal experience that doing so tends to make me wake up, or at least destabilize the dream.

      Definitely harder.

Hopefully you will be getting some time off for the winter holidays. Good time to catch up on your dreaming

I think it coincides with what you are stressed about during your waking life. Not necessarily what you are doing during your waking life. More what you are thinking about. If you have a lot of school or work or family stuff on your mind, you wil dream about it.

For example, I hardlly ever dream about work, even though I am almost always working. I think it is because while working, I let my imagination take over. It helps me stay inspired.

The past couple weeks, I have noticed myself having more dreams about work and family. I think it is because I have been worried about work (damn economy!) and family holiday stuff. I haven't been doing anything differently, just thinking about different stuff. Does that make sense?

When lucid, I almost never think about my real life. I normally still have false (and ridiculous) memories. Plus the thrill and freedom does not really encourage me to think about stressful things.

Yeah, winter break starts next week. Whoo hoo! I'm looking forward to lots of sleeping and dreaming. =)

Yeah, that makes perfect sence. For example, lately I've been stressing about finals an having dreams about them.... I actually should be studying right now... But I'm 90 % sure I'm going to have a snow day tomorrow, so I can study then. =)

Oh I tend to think about it a lot in lucids, generally like this:
Hope my mom don't wakes me.
Hope my cat don't ruins this.
Hope baby won't be a bother today.
      Why they always ruin it ;.;

There is the rare experiment, but mostly think about how they will ruin my lucid lol

Only a few times does it matter. Those are the "Shit! I wasn't supposed to fall asleep!" days.

I try and remember what's going on, what my goals are. Ilike activating my memory while lucid dreaming, because it makes me more aware.
