True, but think about it. It depends on how you feel. As long as you're normal(ish) then you might want to have "a life". Although I fully support people to be who they want to be, most have similar ideas of how to live life... so we have a society and specific norms. As fun as being eccentric is, there is a difference between the dream world and the real world. So even if philosophically there is no true reality, you might want to be careful of what you do in real life. Screaming "Hit me, hit me! I'm dreaming!" won't be seen as normal and you might land in a mental institution (I'm exaggerating, but I'm just trying to make a point.). If I expand my drastic example... If you have total control, then have fun. Otherwise you might have a hard time convincing yourself that everything is fine while being laughed at, being feared or getting locked up somewhere due to your behavior.

Sorry for making a big deal out of your statement. Just saying: If you don't perceive life according to your philosophy, it's best not to try it at all. Although I personally agree with you, "I don't have the guts" to put it into practice.
