      Spiritual Practices Within Dreams

      Hey everyone,

I'm basically looking for everything that you know about people using dreams as an area for spiritual practices -stories, dreams, theory.

Dream Yoga sounds interesting and I'm looking into it, I've read accounts of intense effects from mediation and also taking drugs within the dream leading to god encounters. I don't think 'god' has been contacted rather a 'higher' part of ourselves.

I find this really interesting and it's definetly something I want to explore once I get better at Lucid dreaming

      Anyway post what you got.

      Thanks

Meditation within a dream is pretty interesting. I wasn't lucid at the time.

As I meditated in the dream, there was a wind all around me. As my thoughts wandered, the wind would pick up and blow stronger. As my mind settled down, the wind would settle down as well.

Made it much easier to reach a state of inner peace, because I had instant feedback on my progress.

if you were meditating in the dream, shouldnt that have made you aware of everything and make you realise you are dreaming therefore making you lucid?

I think it might have made me lucid on some level, but it wasn't really important at the time.

Lucid dreaming is a good midstep in meditation. You'll get much more out of... Everything... If you search in real life. But it doesn't hurt to do both. I like how Cusp brought up that dream meditation gives feedback. :]
