      Question Morning After Lucid Dream

Does anybody else ever wake up extra tired the day after you become lucid and stay lucid for a long while in your dream? I've noticed that everytime i become lucid, and i stay lucid in my dreams the next morning i wake up really exhausted is this just me? or has anybody else ever gone through this..?

If I have had a bunch of WILDs (or WILD attempts) during the night, I usually feel a bit more tired the next day. If I became lucid with a DILD/MILD then I don't notice a difference. I usually have plenty of time to sleep-in though, so I may not have the best opinion on the matter.

Well its depends for me. If it took me a lot of effort to get lucid then I will feel a bit exhausted from it.
However, I generally wake up with a boost when I LD. Its the perfect motivational start to the day.

Wake up just as rested, except for some special times, when I wake up with a headache, but thats another story.

I always wake up charged and excited. I feel like I have extra energy the next day. Are you losing any sleep to a WBTB or long WILD?

I feel great after a lucid dream. Nothing feels better then the accomplishment of earning another lucid. I haven't WILDed yet so I don't know how that feels after awakening.

Are you waking up in the middle of the night to LD? Or WILDING? If not then it just takes time to get used to.

yeah i think i just need to get used to it. It's weird the first time i ever became lucid, i became lucid with dream signs, and it took a lot of focus for me to stay lucid, i had to give myself verbal commands outloud to have control and after staying lucid within my dream for a while, i began getting tired within the dream, and so i made myself go to sleep within the dream to stop Lucid dreaming, that was one of the times that i woke up tired.

Two nights ago i became lucid because i had a dream within my actual dream and when i was up(but still dreaming) in my dream i experience dejavu with the dream i had in my dream (it was kind of a final destination experience) and thats what made me realize i was dreaming and so i became lucid. I was able to stay lucid within the dream and it went on for a pretty long while until i started feeling tired again, but this time when i woke up forreal i woke up extremely exhausted with like a headache.

It's weird cause that doesnt usually happen, usually when i have other LD's i wake up super excited as well and accomplished, but ive noticed that with my longer LD's the ones that i have more control in, i wake up like that.
idk though i think it's just about getting used to it.
i fucken love lucid dreaming though.
I'm not all that great at them yet but, with the few that i have had, i've had a lot of fun

Yep, I stayed home from school today and ended up having 3 lucid dreams. I lost lucidity very quickly with the first one but the last two were awesome, plus one of them was my first (true) WILD. So yeah, right now I feel like I could run a marathon.

I get very tired after LDs too.

I always just assumed it was because LDing means your concious is awake, and I thought that sleep only gives you rest because your concious is getting some sleep.

you really have to ask yourself- would you feel any different if you woke up and didn't remember anything?

sometimes indeed I'm tired, other times quite energetic and other times normal. the emotions you experience the last dream you head, especially if it was a lucid, will have a great impact on you throughout the day and their aftertaste will remain for many hours (assuming your dream was emotional)

btw I mean emotional not as "soap opera" emotional but if you felt any emotion strongly like excitement, fear, joy, adrenaline, natural high, etc
