How do I overcome the excitment of lucidity?

I've had three lucid dreams so far since I started getting into lucid dreaming a couple months ago. And in all three of them I woke up immediately after becoming lucid without even having enough time to think because of my excitment.

If anyone knows any ways to overcome this excitment please let me know because this is starting to become very annoying.

Lots of people become excited in their first lucid dreams. I've done it too; after all, lucid dreaming is such a great experience.
Reminding yourself not to wake up, not thinking of yourself lying in bed, and simply taking a few deep breaths can help. Observe the dream world around you.

Your "excitement" should eventually fade with experience, too.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Not only getting calm, but also to stabilize, like rubbing your hands, focusing on an aspect of the dream, etc.

It takes practice. Giving yourself some affirmations will help. Like anything else keep working at it and it will come. I noticed that as I had more lucid dreams, my awareness also grew.

Stabilize and get lucid more often, you'll get used to it and start doing some cool things with it. Good luck!

I'm not on DV much these days, but I'll try to toss a cool dream or two into my DJ.
