Thanks, man. Is there any way we can add our own entries...maybe via source code?

I like the concept! Next Step: See if you can make it browser based.
And now.. for a Stephen Strutmeyer Film...

At this point there isn't a feature to add your own text, however I'm open to suggestions of what to add.

TOTALLY love it. REALLY good for someone who has a lack of goals.
Would be great if you could add a feature to let people update the database by themselves.
      Thanks again, loaf.

Kraftwerk, gonna add those to the database.
Not entirely sure how I could go about letting people edit the database themselves... for now, I'll just focus on improving the database first

Great idea! I'll be sure to test this in Linux tomorrow, but for now I'll stick to Windows

EDIT: Ah, I see you made this with GameMaker. Well, that settles the Linux question...so far I've had 0% success running GameMaker things in Linux

You need DirectX compatibility (which can be done in Wine) and it must be run in fullscreen mode to appear correctly in Linux.

Hey, what do you know? It actually does work! I already have DirectX in WINE, so I just ran it and it came up noooooo problem! Wonder why my own GameMaker stuff still doesn't work...oh well. Nice work with DreamCog!

I agree on trying to make this browser based since I have a Mac and don't use windows much. You could even make a form where people can add their own suggestions, then all you do is hit an approve or discard button and they automatically are sent to the database.

      Adopted by Loaf.

Because of the tools I've developed it with, the only way to make it browser based would be to use some 3rd party scripts that aren't fully stable (at least to my knowledge).
The database is also very... unaccessible at this time. However, I think I have an idea of how to get it working.

Just an idea, perhaps for a future version somewhere down the line...

Unless I am mistaken, currently the only sentece form is "[verb] a [noun] with [noun] and [verb] at [noun]". Perhaps add other sentence forms and have it randomly select one, would this be too difficult to do?

      Hmm, good suggestion.
But, this is how its currently laid out:

      "[Action 1] [Name/Person] and [Action 2] [Location]."
"[Be a superhero with] [Graham Norton] and [visit alien life forms in] [a gay bar]."

      Well, I was close.
You see what I mean though. It doesn't have to be something completely different, either, that would be a lot more work. Experiment with small changes in later versions to allow more variety.

Actually, this COULD be both browser based, and technically it's already multi-platform. Loaf, if you upload your game maker file to http://www.yoyogames.com/ you can make it available to be used in a browser. And users, DreamCog appears to work very well with WINE, which can be installed in Linux and Mac, allowing you to use it in other OS's than Windows.

      Hope this helps.

Damn, I was close, but no banana. I thought it was laid out like (action) with (object) and (action 2) at (location).
