I have heard that some people have experienced dissociation while lucid dreaming. Meaning that the barriers of their waking life and dream life have weakened.

They have mixed up dream memories and events with real life ones, had a complete change of outlook on the world, waking up and not remembering how they got there or what their wearing.

And sometimes it even gets to the point where they feel depressed and alone.

I read a post on this forum about half a year ago, and it was about a guy who had experienced something like half a year in a dream without knowing it. Every event that he had remembered had been a creation of his mind. And he was freaking out for days. And that's completely understandable. He went through college courses that didn't exist, listened to new music that hasn't ever been written or recorded. That would be quite the shock.

Do any of you believe that one can experience dissociation because of lucid dreaming?
