Cyclic....awesome. Video strikes me especially hard as I recently had an experience exactly to what he is describing. Thanks for posting.

Regarding the rest of your post I'll just say, thank you for sharing! What you are talking about is exactly why this thread is here.
Neutrinos are very small (even by atomic standards) uncharged particles that permeate all of space - or at least all the space around the solar system, as far as we are aware. They are given off by the sun, and also from radioactive decay in the earth, but interact with ordinary matter so weakly that a solar neutrino will on average pass right through the earth without interacting with any of the atoms. When they eventually slow down to thermal velocities (c. 2 degrees K) they form a kind of 'gas' that has some very odd properties, i.e. it will interpenetrate ordinary matter as though it wasn't there. Changes in the density of this 'gas' will affect electronic equipment, as it [effectively] alters the density of space (it makes very little difference to electromagnetic phenomena whether it's literally space, i.e. a vacuum, or the atmosphere, as on the earth) and so changes the way electromagnetic fields operate. They seem to be a good candidate for the medium that carries psychic energy as this neutrino 'sea' is now known to exist, whereas it would otherwise require one to postulate a fifth as yet undiscovered force in order to explain psychic phenomena.

The brain may be able to interact with this 'gas' as there is some evidence that neutrinos interact with paramagnetic materials - and it just so happens
that hemoglobin is paramagnetic in its' deoxydised state, and it's also present in brain neurons. Trying to prove this, though, looks like being pretty difficult. It's not very practical to experiment on the brain, apart from by altering ones mental states and chemical means, but if it could be demonstrated that such a compound could be made to produce the observed electromagnetic effects in vitro, then I think it would make a pretty strong case.

Non-scientific, but blood (also contains a lot of hemoglobin) has always been regarded as a powerful source of psychic energy...

Well, I do like to send out my own vibrations . In fact, after reading your article, I'm on the highest frequency today. Thank you. However, I've never been on such a high frequency that I blew out a light-bulb.

I used to have a few fluffy pink bunnies myself. But I don't need em' anymore

Ah, Alan Watts. I recommend everyone interested in this thread to download his whole lecture series. Here's the site to buy them http://www.alanwatts.com/index.html or download a torrent if you want, they are pretty expensive so torrent is probably the best way to go if you're tight for cash.
He talks a lot about vibrations etc. and ego death/Buddhism/science/culture etc.
But he doesn't get too far out in to all the 'mystical' sort of stuff.

Were they ordinary (filament type) light bulbs, or 'compact flourescent' type? Did they fail by brightening up over a discerable period (maybe only a few tenths of a second), or did they fail instantaneously, possibly with a blue/purple flash? I'm assuming here that they were ordinary filament type bulbs. Can you remember this in detail? I suppose it would be too much to ask you to 'pop' another bulb to find out.
They were all ordinary filament type light bulbs. This typically always happened when turning a lamp on, due to the fact that I preferred to be in complete darkness during those trips. But there were some occasions when I needed to turn a lamp on, usually if I needed to find something in my bedroom. However I quickly discovered that this was not as easy as it should have been. I would reach over to my bedside lamp and twist the little knob to turn it on. Pop...it would immediately go out in a flash/spark. Then I would get out of bed and walk over to my floor lamp across the room. Twist the knob...same thing. Out in a flash. I think at that point I would usually give up on turning a light on, and go back to whatever I was doing on my laptop. I would often forget about the lamps going out until the next evening when it would begin to get dark and I would want some light. I would try to turn the lamp on and nothing. Then I would remember the lamps going out the night before, and would replace the bulbs. I would not have any problems with the bulbs again until the next trip. There was a period of time that I was tripping quite often and went through several packages of bulbs in under a few weeks. It's just bizarre because as I am typing this right now I can say for certainty that I have not changed either bulb in my lamps for a few months at least, and I rarely trip anymore.

Also, for comparison purposes, there are long fluorescent bulbs in my bathroom that I've never had a problem with. They are high in the ceiling though? I can't reach them without standing on my sink. And regarding blue/purple flash...honestly I would not try to claim that I saw any colors because that is something that I could not pass off as mere hallucination. Also when it first started happening it was with a small unsturdy sort of bedside lamp, so I replaced the lamp with a larger nicer one but still had the same problems.

There were a few instances when the lamp was either already on, or I managed to turn it on successfully and then wanted to turn it off. One instance stands out in my mind because I actually saw what looked like a bolt of lighting or electricity extending from the lamp to my hand before the bulb flashed out. My hand was about a foot away when it went out. I swear I knew it was going to happen, which is why I was watching so closely. I was extremely surprised to see that light though. After that happened, I decided that playing with electricity was not so much fun, and discovered that if I did not look at or pay attention to the lamp as I was turning it on or off it was usually fine. I know that sounds really silly, but hey, it worked. I would actually keep my head and back turned on the lamp and sometimes even that wouldn't work, so I found that if I was thinking about something else and kept the lamp out of my mind, it would not go out.

Take from it what you will, lol. Doesn't make sense to me either. But it is what it is.

I would love to experiment with this more now, but my main problem is tolerance. It is awhile since I have been in that same state of mind where I could actually feel myself affecting the things around me so strongly. If anyone is familiar I would say that it takes a trip to the 3rd plateau for such things to begin to manifest, and I have been unable to get there for many months now. I am only doing it about once a month now for experimental purposes, and hoping that tolerance will go back down. If I do make it back to that level, I will certainly have video camera in hand. The funny thing is that the experiences seemed so normal back when they were happening almost everyday, it never even occurred to me to attempt to document any of it.

      Cool story bro.

Nina, that's interesting. Just don't think of the video camera! Now I'm getting interested. I can see how something like that would convince you.

I have to say, if providing viable evidence for claims was a strict requirement for posting, Beyond Dreaming would surely become a very quiet place indeed.

Personal beliefs are not sacrosanct. Nor do they demand automatic respect. They can be flawed. They can be dangerous. They can be nonsensical.

Besides, if we've decided that all beliefs MUST be respected, then really, what about the skeptics right to believe that unvalidated supernatural justifications are nonsense?

Until there is a seperate sub-forum to discuss the supernatural standards from a skeptical (i.e. scientific) perspective, debates like this will likely continue.

There are hundreds of websites where any critisism of the paranormal perspective is disallowed.

Dream Views is different for good reason, and long may this continue.

Before reading the information below, I would like to point out that I did not write anything but this text in blue. This text presented here is connected to the information discussed previously in this thread.

How much of this information fits into your life/journey? Is it simple BS that fits into everyones life, or is it something more? What do YOU think?

'Twelve Signs of Your Awakening Consciousness'

The extraordinary energetic transformation is continuing to gather pace and power and is affecting more and more people. Here is a guide to some of the experiences it can trigger. It uses the term 'Christ seed', which I think is unfortunate because it has unnecessary connotations, but if you think of it as a higher consciousness you'll get the drift. I can relate to most of these things, in fact I have been having many of them all my life.

Twelve Signs of Your Awakening Divinity

“Shaumbra” means Family and Deep Inner Friendship
      By Geoffrey Hoppe and Tobias

      1. Body aches and pains, especially in the neck, shoulder and back. This is the result of intense changes at your DNA level as the "Christ seed" awakens within. This too shall pass.

      2. Feeling of deep inner sadness for no apparent reason. You are releasing your past (this lifetime and others) and this causes the feeling of sadness. This is similar to the experience of moving from a house where
you lived in for many, many years into a new house. As much as you want to move into the new house, there is a sadness of leaving behind the memories, energy and experiences of the old house. This too shall pass.

      3. Crying for no apparent reason. Similar to #2 above. It's good and healthy to let the tears flow. It helps to release the old energy within. This too shall pass.

      4. Sudden change in job or career. A very common symptom. As you change, things around you will change as well. Don't worry about finding the "perfect" job or career right now. This too shall pass. You're in transition and you may make several job changes before you settle into one that fits your passion.

      5. Withdrawal from family relationships. You are connected to your biological family via old karma. When you get off the karmic cycle, the bonds of the old relationships are released. It will appear as though you are drifting away from your family and friends. This too shall pass. After a period of time, you may develop a new relationship with them if it is appropriate. However, the relationship will be based in the new energy without the karmic attachments.

      6. Unusual sleep patterns. It's likely that you'll awaken many nights between 2:00 and 4:00 AM. There's a lot of work going on within you, and it often causes you to wake up for a "breather." Not to worry. If you can't go back to sleep, get up and do something rather than lay in bed and worry about humanly things. This too shall pass.

      7. Intense dreams. These might include war and battle dreams, chase dreams or monster dreams. You are literally releasing the old energy within, and these energies of the past are often symbolized as wars, running to escape and boogiemen. This too shall pass.

      8. Physical disorientation. At times you'll feel very ungrounded. You'll be "spatially challenged" with the feeling like you can't put two feet on the ground, or that you're walking between two worlds. As your consciousness transitions into the new energy, you body sometimes lags behind. Spend more time in nature to help ground the new energy within. This too shall pass.

      9. Increased "self talk." You'll find yourself talking to your Self more often. You'll suddenly realize you've been chattering away with yourself for the past 30 minutes. There is a new level of communication taking place within your being, and you're experiencing the tip of the iceberg with the self talk. The conversations will increase, and they will become more fluid, more coherent and more insightful. You're not going crazy, you're just Shaumbra moving into the new energy.

      10. Feelings of loneliness, even when in the company of others. You may feel alone and removed from others. You may feel the desire to "flee" groups and crowds. As Shaumbra, you are walking a sacred and lonely path. As much as the feelings of loneliness cause you anxiety, it is difficult to relate to others at this time. The feelings of loneliness are also associated with the fact that your Guides have departed. They have been with you on all of your journeys in all of your lifetimes. It was time for them to back away so you could fill your space with your own divinity. This too shall pass. The void within will be filled with the love and energy of your own Christ consciousness.

      11. Loss of passion. You may feel totally disimpassioned, with little or no desire to do anything. That's OK, and it's just part of the process. Take this time to "do no-thing." Don't fight yourself on this, because this too shall pass. It's similar to rebooting a computer. You need to shut down for a brief period of time in order to load the sophisticated new software, or in this case, the new Christ-seed energy.

      12. A deep longing to go Home. This is perhaps the most difficult and challenging of any of the conditions. You may experience a deep and overwhelming desire to leave the planet and return to Home. This is not a "suicidal" feeling. It is not based in anger or frustration. You don't want to make a big deal of it or cause drama for yourself or other. There is a quiet part of you that wants to go Home. The root cause for this is quite simple. You have completed your karmic cycles. You have completed your contract for this lifetime. You are ready to begin a new lifetime while still in this physical body. During this transition process, you have an inner remembrance of what it is like to be on the other side. Are you ready to enlist for another tour of duty here on Earth? Are you ready to take on the challenges of moving into the New Energy? Yes, indeed you could go Home right now. But you've come this far, and after many, many lifetimes it would be a shame to leave before the end of the movie. Besides, Spirit needs you here to help others transition into the new energy. They will need a human guide, just like you, who has taken the journey from the old energy into the new. The path you're walking right now provides the experiences to enable you to become a Teacher of the New Divine Human. As lonely and dark as your journey can be at times, remember that you are never alone.

I have a question that may have been answered somewhere in the thread, but I went through the first page at least and wanted to know more about the experiences people have had on "fluffy pink bunnies," whatever those may be. How do you feel, physically, when you "vibrate at higher frequencies"? I'm asking because, maybe by coincidence, maybe not, I had my first interesting experience with a sensation that involved a literal, heavy vibrating feeling. I had performed a breathing/meditating exercise that, over the course of half an hour, ended with me feeling like my physical body was gone entirely. I had no desire to move and felt utterly relaxed, and at the same time felt like I was buzzing underneath my skin. I said out loud to another that it felt like I was plugged into a wall socket (a sensation that I am intimately familiar with, so my simile stands), but controlled and not painful. It also felt like I was floating. The sensation was strongest through my solar plexus and on the sides of my head, but otherwise existed all over. I wonder now what would happen if I continued the exercise. That feeling of no body is pleasant in its own way.

So, is that experience similar in any way to what's being discussed here? At first I was under the impression that everyone elses experiences were self induced until I read the word "dosage" for "fluffy pink bunnies". I'd prefer to continue pursuing this on my own steam and not through the use of drugs.

To answer your question, yes. your experience is the same as what is being discussed here. The fluffy pink bunnies are merely a shortcut to something that takes a lot of practice to induce at will. It is more beneficial to practice this without outside influences because the fluffy pink bunnies will only bring you to a certain predetermined (by chemistry) 'level' or potentiality whereas being able to do this on your own has no limits.

Nothing really wrong with shortcuts if you wanna get into this and know what you can work yourself into. I prefer a shortcut method on anything to know if it intrests me at all. After i know it's worth pursuing, then you can dedicate your spare time to this.

The video was the "Bee Gees one night only" and all in all it was a good watch. A couple of songs into the video they began singing one called "Closer than close". The moment this song started i felt a strang feeling start to build up and then wash over me in a wave leaving goosebumps alover me.this happened a couple of times thruout the song and when it finnished i was hooked into developing it further. Every night when i went to bed i would ask for the video to be played so i could hear the music, waiting for that particular song to play.

Over the course of about 6 months i started to experiment with other songs to see if they to could invoke the same kind of phenomenom and discovered that songs with a lot of emotion put into them brought about the best results.

To clarify what i mean by "emotion" I dont mean sappy sad songs to cry to. I mean songs where the singer and/or the musicians (wether they know it or not) have put true emotion into the song, empowering it with a sence of love, longing, power, anger, determination, urgency, etc.

During Highschool I took it further by remembering not just the songs but the emotions imbued in them. First I'd go over the song in my head and feel for the areas in it that had the strongest amount of emotion. Then I'd hold onto the piece of emotion and feed it apon its self causing it to intesnsify. When i felt it had intensifyed enough I would "open" myself to it and alow it to surge into my own emotions. The end result of this would be an energetic "pulse" that would rush compleatly over my entier body leaving goosebumps and all the smaller hairs standing up.

Over these last few years i have noticed that it's not just songs but particular books and movies aswell that also seem to have to varying degrees of emotion imbued in them and by reading or viewing them would invoke a reaction.
Movies in particular I have found can be VERY potent because they are not only a book "brought to life' but also come with the music matched to suit the moment.
When I left the cinema after watching the movie Transformers I left with energy continualy surging around my entire body leaving me feeling like a walking nuclear reactor. not to menchion all the stares I got from people as I power walked (it was hard enough not to run) to the car.

Now all i have to do is pick an emotion in me and feed it untill it spikes causing it to pulse around my body. Im currently working on both maintaining it for longer and making it stronger.

Just for the record i neither smoke or drink alcohol aswell and prefer to endure pain instead of taking a pill for it.
I get this all the time ie i hear a particular song and i get a huge rush like you speak of and feel it go through my spine and then leaving me with the chills it feels like i know what the song is about and the feel the emotions its weird as i have asked a few people over time if they get the same feeling but most answer no or have no idea what i am rambling on about lol but it is the same with a movie or video ie if someone saws there leg off i can picture it in my head and some how feel it. I don't like it and i usually stop watching if i do not like the feeling it gives me but if i watch some sort of movie with a real empowering feeling in it like transformers i also feel on top of the world as if i was the one who helped save the world.

      Hi everyone, just found this

First I want to link some observations:

Here comes the interesting part: When the queen dies, even if she's 100m away from the colony itselt, every ant within that colony stops working. The only way to explain this is that without the "plans" or "orders" being sent telepathicly from the queen, the others have no idea what to do. Strange huh?
30 feet is about 100m so maybe all animals have this energy field, explaining amongst other things how people know when someone is looking at them, when a dog knows its owner is coming and how shoals of fish/swarms of insects/flocks of birds have highly coordinated movements.

Also, kelisi talked about thoughts, neutrinos and psychics got me thinking.
If psychics change (I guess increase) the permeability of free space so that electrical things are affected, wouldn't it make more sense if it was photons and not neutrinos that are being transferred. (Photons are for the electromagnetic force as gluons are for the strong force). This would agree with the fact that we have a bioelectric field.

Secondly, here is my personal experience:
I find it really hard to feel happy enough to be open valve because I live with an extremely annoying close minded person. Maybe it would be better if I wasn't within 30 feet of them for so long each day. There's no one I know who lives open valve but I have a friend and I think he's pretty close. I say this because I never see him moan about anything (like exams and stuff), and everyone sort of lights up when talking to him.

Photons are the carriers of the electromagnetic force, as you say, but not of the psychic 'force' (or energy), since the latter will penetrate a metallically screened enclosure, and also does not suffer inverse square law attenuation, as electromagnetic energy would. Thermal neutrinos, i.e. neutrinos that do not have any kinetic energy, form a kind of 'gas' except that it has the very unusual prpoerty of interpenetrating matter as though it wasn't there - and matter, when you think about it, is largely composed of empty space, as it's just a lot of electrically charged particles held together by a combination of attraction, repulsion, and quantum mechanics.

I don't think the 'bioelectric field' of people generally extends more than a few inches, this may be what is responsible for images in Kirlian photography - an increase in permeability makes it easier for a corona discharge to occur (and might explain why people often get struck by lightning out in the open, when they are not an 'obvious' target, i.e. not the tallest structure around). This field may extend for a considerable distance in some cases, and could be responsible for the 'halo' (refraction of light) around the heads of 'holy' men, i.e. people who either naturally have strong psychic ability or who have developed their psychic ability to a very high degree. I don't think your 30m/100ft 'range' is a function of intrinsic range the bioelectric field, but [perhaps] a function of how far energy fluctuations (vortices?) in the neutrino continuum can be projected.

You can screen this energy to some extent with iron (there is a saying that iron is the enemy of the Devil), but you might find it rather inconvenient to go around wearing a suit of armour - though a Ned Kelly helmet would probably work OK...

You seem to have very good knowledge of physics, kelisi, but I don't think what you're saying is really possible.

There are a number of problems, such as

-Neutrinos don't interact with EMFs which are essentially how the brain functions. In other words, humans can't possibly affect any neutrinos around them, and in turn the neutrinos cannot affect us.

-There is a constant stream of billions of neutrinos passing through the Earth at huge speeds which would totally swamp any small changes we could make.

-There aren't any neutrinos floating around the surface of the Earth anyway; and if there were, as they have mass, they would quickly accelerate down through the ground.

-You can't send waves through neutrinos because they don't interact with each other.

And of course the largest problem is that there is simply no evidence for your hypothesis and no reason to suspect it could be true.

      Neutrinos can interact electromagnetically

In fact, the interactions between neutrinos and photons led to verification of electroweak theory.

I won't argue about neutrinos though, since so little is known about them. Just thought I'd throw this out there.

Neutrinos aren't affected by EM fields, as you say - but they do affect the propagation of such fields, as they change the [effective] density of the vacuum. This will also affect [electro]chemical reactions, as all interactions (physical, chemical, electronic) are OF ELECTRONS, and so this will probably also affect brain chemistry.

Don't confuse kinetic neutrinos with thermal neutrinos - the neutrinos that you are referring to are kinetic, with energies in the MeV range, coming from the sun (and from radioactive disintegrations in the earth), and as you say these stream through us as if we didn't exist - I think the attenuation of the whole mass of the earth for such particles is only c. 3dB. They also have [effectively] zero cross-section for each other.

They do however eventually get slowed to thermal energies by interaction with (mostly) hydrogen and a few other atoms and molecules in space, but because their cross-section is very low, and the density of such gases in space is also very low, this takes a very large distance - perhaps many AUs, though this is only a guess. They then behave as a 'gas' at a temperature of c. 2 deg K, and permeate all of space (and stars/planets) in our galaxy - this idea has been around for a while (since the 80's), but has only recently been confirmed by an experiment on a NASA satellite. This found the distribution of thermal neutrinos is a rugby ball shape, with the long axis at right angles to the galactic plane.

Your comment that 'they would quickly accelerate down through the ground' is invalid, as the neutrino density is [nominally] constant throughout the mass of the earth, the oceans, and the atmosphere - though this may not be entirely true, as there are well documented places [on the earth] where anomalous EM (and paranormal) effects are experienced.

As for us (our brains) affecting neutrinos, I don't have any definite idea of a mechanism - though there is some suggestion that neutrinos may interact with 'lone' electrons in paramagnetic materials. Haeme (as in haemeoglobin) is such a substance, and is present in neurons - though it would take a lot of specialised research to show if this is indeed a valid mechanism. It may be possible for waves or vortices to propagate in this neutrino 'gas' as its' dynamics are very different to the kinetic neutrinos you mentioned - I don't think anyone (at present) is qualified to say with any degree of certainty.

My hypothesis was derived from the observation that paranormal/psychic phenomena often produce changes in the potential of a charged object inside a Faraday cage, which is impossible according to EM theory - we can rule out this effect being caused by EM fields, we can also eliminate the weak and the strong nuclear forces (as these are both very short range), and gravity has no significant effect on EM potentials. So unless we propose that these phenomena are caused by a fifth (untheorised, let alone detected) fundamental force, we must look for a mechanism involving known forces or particles - and neutrinos, other than not having a known mechanism whereby the brain could affect their density, seem to be a good candidate.

Further thoughts, added at 20:48 hrs -

Not admissable scientifically, but some people (who might be classed as witches) can 'blast' others, though not in the verbal sense. I have been on the receiving end of such a 'blast', and it feels like a severe electric shock - this is about what I would expect if I was 'hit' by a wave/vortex in the neutrino field, as this would produce quite large displacement currents in the wet, ionically conductive tissues of my body. Has anyone else had this experience?

Tell me about it i am living with my girlfriend and she is so close minded it makes it extremely hard for me to be open valve. I am hardly ever in a bad mood and always can make myself feel happy my friends just love being around me because i always seem to bring a good mood but not so long ago my gf's dad died from a tumor on his brain and it seems she has just gave up and accepts that life is as simple as you are born and eventually you die that's it. Although i have tried and tried again and again to try to show her that life will always go and eventually she will see her father again but i know that she does not believe me but anyway so now i am vibrating at a totally different frequency to her and i feel as if it is slowly dragging us apart although i love her more then ever i feel as if it is getting harder and harder to keep us together.

Has anyone else had a partner that they really love but find that they vibrate at a totally different frequency to them?

Sorry if i dragged a bit off topic it meant to be short and on topic but i sort of just kept going lol i guess thats what happens when you don't talk to anyone about situations like this.

No , she hasn't given up. If she had given up she would see that life IS just that and she would be happy about that. Right now she just believes it is like that and is depressed about it, she doesn't KNOW it's like that. You need to show her that it's not a bad thing if life is just living and dying. Because you may as well enjoy it while you're here.

Out of all the new age/buddhism stuff and psychedelic trip reports to me, it all points to solipsism. But i pray that solipsism isn't true...it's just too depressing to think about....makes me not even want to look into this stuff anymore sometimes.

Hello everyone, I'm reviving this thread in the hopes that we can share some experiences and knowledge with one another, for everyone's mutual benefit. It is not surprising that a community surrounding lucid dreaming will include members who have had experiences that can't be explained by the current scientific paradigm or common knowledge. It is also likely that a subset of these individuals will have inadvertently or intentionally encountered some spiritual experiences, which in the theravada buddhist tradition are commonly referred to as spiritual openings, or more specifically A&P ( Arising and Passing Away ) experiences.

A relatively small number of well known and highly respected buddhist meditation instructors, as a result of having taught thousands of students, have resurrected the maps of the progress of insight, that are described in the commentaries that have been preserved to this day. These teachers and students over many centuries have kept detailed written accounts of their progress / meditation practice, and from all of these accounts, the spiritual community has been able to develop a generalized map, that they refer to as the "Progress of Insight". Now, it is commonly known among this community that common everyday people quite frequently encounter the early stages of this development sometimes just through exceptional experiences, experimentation with psychoactive substances, or their own meditation practices at home.

Many lucid dreaming exercises, have somewhat of an overlap with certain meditation technologies or techniques. This and the fact that Lucid Dreams are a known side effect of reaching a certain stage of spiritual development along the progress of insight, leads us to the conclusion that we will have a subset of individuals here who can benefit from the maps of the progress of insight. These maps can help such individuals understand, integrate, and make sense of their experiences, help them figure out the direction they want to continue with, and help re-empower them during the difficult stages of this process so that they may persevere and not become stuck, simply wallowing in negative states of depression, doubt, etc when they reach these difficult periods that i will refer to as "the dark night of the soul".

I have already encountered what appears to be several individual reports of people who appeared to have experienced spiritual openings or breakthroughs, only to be confused and left lacking when the rapturous highs of that breakthrough subsided, and they were left feeling negative and depressed.. without the proper guidance to get them through this difficult stage and keep them on track to continue their progress. They are not alone, there are many such individuals, and I was among them for some time. But my perseverance lead me to resources that eventually helped me find my way, and so I humbly pass on what I have found to others who may be in that dark place where I once was.

The vibrational feelings, goosebumps, hairs on end, etc.. are all classic symptoms of what are known as raptures in buddhist meditation practice. They are quite common in meditation and easily reproducible. The physical symptoms are often accompanied by great euphoria, bliss, happiness, joy, etc.. as well as delight, and deep gratitude. These are early indications of the development of the subtle energy pathways, which are the currents of prana or qi, as some may know them, as well as our chakra system all parts of our subtle / etheric body. There are different layers to this subtle body, and the astral layer is known as the astral body and is the common explanation for what we experience when we do Astral Projection. Early in this thread someone mentioned Robert Bruce .. he wrote a good book called "New Energy Ways" ( if I remember correctly ) that describes how to develop deeper awareness of our energy system. Reading a book such as this and practicing these techniques can be helpful.

So, in this spirit I would like to renew discussion, encourage questions, and share my own experience if anyone is interested. I also offer a classic, and excellent resource of information that describes the Progress of Insight, so that people may inform themselves and help clarify their own experiences and integrate them in a balanced and healthy way so that they may find the greatest happiness in their lives. This book is written by Daniel Ingram, and he has a site called the DharmaOverground. He has made this book freely available on his website, where you can download it:
