      Fourced's Workbook

Hey guys, I'm Fourced. I joined DV at the beginning of the year and after a couple days of practicing i had my first lucid dream After that i kind of got unmotivated because of school and stuck to having normal dreams but I want to change that and i feel like being a class would help. I'm also going to post dream journal entries of the lucid dreams i have in the future.

Dream signs (Haven't kept a DJ long enough)
      Family
      School

      Reality checks
      Nose plug

      Short-term Goals

[X] Use the nose plug reality check
      [ ] Meet my Dreamguide
      [ ] Fly
      [ ] Create a dream scene

Long-term Goals that I want to achieve
[ ]Grow wings and fly across the Grand Canyon
[ ]Visit my friend who just died
[ ]Confirm a shared lucid dream with someone

      Current Technique

Right now i am going to try out Oreo's Daydream Technique for awareness for a while to see if it works.

Hey Fourced. I use Oreoboy's Daydream technique too. Not as often as I should, but I still use it from time to time, I like it. I think the class will help to motivate you and keep you on track. Seems to have helped a lot of other people from last class. Seeing yourself make progress is helpful in keeping you motivated too.

Nice list of goals. Sorry that a friend of yours recently passed though. ._. I hope you see him/her in one of your LDs. Do you use the nose plug reality check much? If you rely on that to become lucid, then you might want to use a back-up RC. The nose plug RC is one of the most reliable RCs, so you don't have to use a second one. Even reliable RCs can fail, so just keep that in mind. If you find more dream signs, feel free to update your workbook!

Ya I usually practice the nose plug but ive only used it in a dream once before. I'll start doing a finger count rc along with that just in case.

      *UPDATE*
The chat session last night helped ALOT!! I was told to try a mantra for help with the DEILD technique and also got motivated to get a dream journal going. I would say last night was pretty success see as i recorded 5 dreams in my DJ and i was able to attempt a DEILD. I need to practice what to do when going back into the dream though and i'm pretty convinced i will have another lucid within a week.
(Shoutout to Idionym for keeping me motivated!)

Thanks Idionym for keeping him motivated!

Well done Fourceed, on the journal and recall and everything. Keep up the enthusiasm and I agree, you'll have another lucid in no time. Proud of you man.

Just a reminder, you don't need to have kept a DJ to recognize dreamsigns. Just think of things you see often in dreams. Places, also!
Anything that occurs on multiple occasions in your dreams, it's good to list them.

      *Another Update*
Ive been able to recall 4 dreams and recently just remembered a piece of a 5th dream. I got up after 4 hours and had some apple juice which might have helped because i had a really vivid dream towards the end of the morning. When i woke up i also took a look at my DJ noticed that my twin brother was in 8/9 dreams i have so i guess he is a new dream sign. I also reconsidered my mantra for waking up and changed it to "I stay still when I wake up" so i will have a better chance of having a DEILD. I guess i've completed the first extra credit assignment and im about to complete the second one

Maybe you could somehow involve your twin in a reality check.. either with or without his knowing. Make up some kind of special "secret twin handshake", and RC when you do it. Then when you see him in your dreams, if you happen to do the handshake, look for anything unusual about it, and you might become lucid! I dunno, just a thought.

Well done on the recall AND the extra credit by the way!

I kind of got sucked into playing Xbox all day and night so hadn't been on Dreamviews in the past couple days, then last night i had a DILD I didn't really RC i just got a feeling and i started doing what i wanted. Anyway it was short and I tried using the techniques in Lesson IV but nothing really happen and i could hear sounds from my room, so i tried to DEILD chain but it was really late in the morning and i didn't fall back into a dream.

:O That's great, Fourced! Do you remember the dream before you became lucid? Sounds like you became lucid at the end of your REM period. But hey, you ended your lucid dry spell! Keep at it, Fourced! By the way, do you remember what stabilization techniques you used in your lucid?

Yup! I remember the whole dream so vividly. It had elements of the movie "In time" and the tv show "Touch" and my perspective was similar to that in the game "Skyrim" but it really made me happy to remember what it felt like.

Yay! Just had another lucid dream last night. This was the same way as the last one, where i just got a feeling i was dreaming and i messed around with the idea that my hands dont look normal when im dreaming and sure enough they were all over the place. Then when i tried to summon my freindfrom one of my goals, i lost consciousness

Congrats on the lucid fourced!! Sorry it didn't last as long as you wanted it to. Might not be a bad idea to focus on more intimate things first in your next LD, like your hands, or other nearby objects. Also, when summoning a friend in an LD, ever tried a phone? It can work strange wonders.

Hey Fourced, any recent LDs? Or interesting dreams you've had recently? Have you found yourself being more aware in your recent dreams?
