Hi, my name is John, welcome to my workbook |

Hey John! Welcome to the Intro Class! |

Last night went to bed at midnight but only managed to fall asleep around 1:10. Woke up at 5:50 to WBTB, but couldn't fall asleep again. |
Have been in a dry spell for the last few days, couldn't recall a thing. Today woke up and recalled 4 dreams, so I guess the dry spell is broken. |
Finally another LD |

Woke up from another LD last night. Someone said something about dreams, I reality checked, but the dream was so vivid I almost didn't believe it was a dream in the first couple of seconds. I tried to stabilize by rubbing my hands on a wall for a few seconds. But as soon as stopped stabilizing the dream either turned into a non-lucid or I woke up. |
Yay! Good job on getting lucid with the reality check. I find that when I have an irritating time with stabilization in an LD, it's time to move on to a task of some sort. I feel like sometimes I waste too much energy focusing on stabilization, that it wears me out and I wake up or go non lucid. I remember every night to have a "to-do" list of sorts in case I have a random DILD. My list usually includes a TOTM, and maybe one or 2 personal goals, not a long list. I find alot of times having something to do distracts my subconscious enough from tripping me up, and lengthens the dream. |
Thanks! The thing is when I get lucid I can't think, I just do random stuff. I actually am surprised that I remembered to stabilize in my last LD's, although it wasn't a thing I thought of doing, I just did it automatically. |
One more lucid. Was so happy when I woke up from it, because it was really unexpected. |
Good job remembering to stabilize again! |
Oooh congrats on the lucid! |

Hi again. I just want to share with anyone that reads this an unusual thing that I experienced last night. So, I was in my bed listening to music, and was about to fall asleep. I usually imagine stuff before falling asleep, like daydreaming, but this time it was extremelly vivid. And this happened more than once. One of the times, I imagined I was sitting in class, and some dude was giving papers to everyone, and I thought: "What the hell is he doing? We're not even in class anymore... wait, I'm laying my bed". After that I 'woke' up. When I was about to fall asleep again, this happened again but this time I imagined I stepped on an iron nail and literally jumped out of my bed. Has this ever happened to you? |
Hey TruMotion! That's pretty cool. Some interesting stuff happens on the border between wakefulness and sleep. It sounds like very strong hypnagogic imagery to me. |
No, the thing is this wasn't a dream... DEILD can only be done after a few hours of sleep. |
Good point. If this was the beginning of your sleep, it seems unlikely that you were entering REM directly. A sleep-deprived person can sometimes slip straight into REM, but this doesn't sound like you. Polyphasic sleep practitioners are doing this at every single nap but they're coasting on REM rebound for all of their sleep. |
Heads up: It's almost October! I suggest making a new list of monthly goals you want to achieve, as well as reevaluate your DJ for possible new dream signs or any realizations |

My DJ hasn't really been growing. I'm in a dry spell right now. |
I don't know if you have heard about this, but if it is recall you are having trouble with it, try a day time journal. Mastermind started a great thread about it here. It has been known to trigger lucidity as well. It works really well for me. There are probably similar threads out there. |

"Oh, and everything is not what it seems
This life is but a dream"

Oh I see. Well maybe give it a little longer and focus on remembering as much as you can. I know it can be a pain but it has helped a lot of people. I found myself focusing on remember the moment in a dream because of it and it made me more aware. I think it just heightens awareness. Everyone is different though. |

Well, I started with the day-journaling the day before yesterday. Had no success in that night, but last night I recalled 3 full dreams, so I guess it may start to have some effect. |
