Its good to have you here. Make sure you read the lessons starting with one and give those links that Kraom posted a look. Its good stuff.

One word of advice. Start slow. I know you are probably really excited but WILDing and having a lucid every night takes a lot of practice a patience. I'm sure you will get there but it's best to always focus on the basics as your foundation. Without it you'll fail. I have to keep reminding myself of this all the time.

Good luck and let us know how we can help.

Welcome, Jawad! Great to have you here!

I checked out your Dream Journal entry... wow, you are already working with some great material here! Starting with this:

I am travelling ans searching for DVA everywhere, Mostly in Villages. Then I reached to a village where I found an empty ancient building which is known as DVA.
      ...
They are coming to me to kill me but i am asking them that I am here just to talk to you about Lucid Dreams. Then Now they are normal and ready to listen me. I am asking them to help me in research of Lucid Dreaming
This kind of thing is great. It means that lucid dreaming (and hey, the DVA!) is on your mind. The idea of becoming lucid in a dream is running all through your thoughts and day residue. This is a huge part of the battle! All it takes is that one additional flash of insight to make you lucid. The fact that this happened in two separate dreams is great.

My advice to you is to continue to imagine these dreams (and dreams like them), and remind yourself, "Yes, I should have become lucid when X happened." Any time you find yourself thinking about lucid dreaming, look around and confirm to yourself that the world makes sense. How do you feel? Are you yourself? How do you know that this is not a dream already? Get this mindset ingrained into yourself and it will propel you forward.

You have gotten great advice above. Lucid dreaming takes time, but the effort does pay off. Continue with the lessons and keep us updated on your progress as you proceed.

I would like to especially point out the practice of WBTB. I call this out in particular because this is something that I resisted for a long time but in the end has become absolutely fundamental to my lucidity. It is described in Lesson II and we'll be able to help you with any details or questions that may arise for you. If this isn't something you are already incorporating, it may be the missing piece for you. It was a great help to me.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Yeah, we all have those nights when dream recall suddenly takes a nosedive. For me it tends to happen when I'm very tired and/or preoccupied with waking life concerns.

Anyhow, try not to stress too much about it -- feelings of stress, pressure, and worry are the opposite of what you'll want for lucid dreaming. You'll have it all back soon enough, so relax your mind as much as you can. Understand that dreams are a force all their own, so some ebb and flow is inevitable.

My first piece of advice would be to (as you did last night) go to sleep reviewing old dreams. (Good job there, btw.) When you settle in for sleep, think about all of the dreaming you're going to do that night and get that sense of eager anticipation. Smiling is okay, too. Nobody's looking.

And taking worries or concerns to bed with you is simply not allowed. The problem with this is that these worries will tend to seep back into your mind when you wake up, crowding out your dream memories. Dream memories are hanging by a thread when you first wake up, so before you move or do anything else, go over them in your mind and work to bring them all back.

Also, throughout the day, maintain your waking awareness of the world around you. It's great to go through the day thinking about lucid dreaming, but apply it to the world around you. Pay attention to the little things in the world that everyone else misses. How do you know what you see around you is not a dream? What would it be like and what would you do if it were a dream? By nightfall, you want to be able to visually walk back through what you experienced throughout the day. Building that waking memory in the daytime will help you stay aware at night.

You already have great dream recall, so I'm only reminding you of things that you already know. But reviewing the basics never hurts. Let us know if you continue to have trouble and we should have no problem helping you work through it. If we need to break out the apple juice, we shall do it.

Hey Jawad, welcome to the Intro Class! I know we talk on chat, but ai wanted to welcome you here as well

As for the apple juice and other food not taking effect, don't worry about it. Sometimes it may take a while, and sometimes it just isn't for you. So i suggest sticking with it, and be patient, I'm sure you'll have great results soon! Just keep thinking positive

Hmm how do you recall your dreams in the morning? Make sure to not get up right away. When you wake up, take a few minutes to stay in bed and just think about your dreams. Don't think about what you need to do today, or other things. Just focus on recalling your dreams. Lay still and try to remember.

What's important is not the dream itself, but your intention to remember. The more you think about trying to recall your dreams, the more you will recall them in the future.

You must have patience, Jawad. If lucid dreaming teaches you nothing else; It will teach you patience. Just continue and be persistent. Always write what you remember. Write it down even if it is just an image or emotion. Are you on any medications? Sometimes certain drugs will hinder dream recall.

Another thing to thing about... I have found that no matter what pre-bed food or supplements I use it has NO effect for me. BUT when I do it with WBTB my recall picks up and I am more likely to have lucid dreams. Most people have very short REM cycles the first part of the night so there are fewer dreams to remember anyway. So, maybe try apple juice or whatever after 4 or 5 hours of sleep, stay awake for 30 minutes, and then go back to bed focusing on remembering your dreams.

The best solution is to have a good attitude about it, and don't get sad or angery because of it. Believe me I've been there. Also, try to enjoy your normal dreams, and practice WBTB if you can, it does wonders when it comes to dry spells.

My chosen techniques are DILD and awareness. And It is my 4th day to following it. My whole day I am doing RCs and awareness after every one hour.

I will follow this technique max 2 weeks to see if that works are not.

      Waiting for response.

      Thanks

      Jawad

Hi Jawad. I hope you have some awesome dreams and lucids soon. Like the others said, patience is the key!

Also, it is alright to put your number of dreams recalled here instead of the Intro Class Daily Dream Snippets. That way, you can just put one or two sentences there about what exactly happened in a dream you would like to share with us. And it would also be easier for us to know about your recalled dreams when we come to your workbook

Great job with the 6 dreams recalled! That is not bad at all.

      Keep it up.

Nice job! You will do it! Getting back into LDing can be a little bit hard as it feels a bit like a dryspell. But you can do it! Just make sure you stay motivated!

I really recommend WBTB! Use it whenever you can. Useful for turning MILDs into WILDs.

      Only 8? Why not 9?

Im just joking. Recalling 8 is really impressive.

I rarely get that many on a good night. You are really doing something right! Now don't forget to look for dream signs in all those dreams as that will help you become lucid the next time you dream about it.
