      Apply For Lucid Apprentice Here

      Hello fellow dreamers!

For the past 8 months, we've had a Lucid Apprentice Program associated with the Intro Class in the Dream Views Academy. It proved to be a success and continues to be a wonderful asset for the class. The apprentices are DVA students who become skilled (or at least semi-skilled) at lucid dreaming, and help the professors with new students. A couple of apprentices have gone on to become Dream Guides, so naturally those positions need to be filled.

We decided we don't want to restrict apprentice applicants to DVA students, since there are many members NOT in the academy that we believe would be assets to the program. Also, many of the current students in the Intro Class are at the beginner level, so we're aiming for more seasoned LDers. A few of you have already expressed interest and I'll PM you the link to this thread shortly.

Finally, be aware that apprentices are like "mini-mods." They have moderator permissions in the Intro Class. So there's a mild amount of moderation that occurs there, but nothing overwhelming.

If you are interested in applying, here's a link to more info about the program: Lucid Apprentice Program. If you think this might be something you would like to do, simply reply in this thread. Include things like:

      - How long you've been a lucid dreamer.
      - What your strengths are (DILD, Awareness, Recall, etc..)
      - Anything you feel you could contribute to the Intro Class

Thank you for your interest in Dream Views Academy!

      Its about time!

I'm definitely interested, sign me up. I've been on DV for about 7 years now-- on my first account I was nothing but a lurker back in late 2005. I've been lucid dreaming since that time, though. I've had well over 100 lucid dreams of 5 minutes or longer. Probably closer to 200 if you want to count really short lucids. I've gone on a bunch of breaks over the 7 years...when steady I average one lucid a week.

I'd say my strengths are All-Day-Awareness, DEILD-Chaining, and recall when I'm dedicated enough to write every dream between sleep cycles. I've also, like most LDers, found a lot of ways to trick the mind for dream control, or for stabilizing.
*I'm also experienced with meditation, and have been experimenting with meditation for Dream Incubation, and for All-Day-Awareness.

I know that the intro classes dont particularly support supplements starting out (and neither do I), but for those beginners who feel they've progressed far enough to try them I can help. I've experimented with Valerian Root, Mugwort, Vitamin B6/B12, Melatonin, Omega Oils, and caffeine during WBTBs, and combinations.

I think that about covers it. I'd be glad to help. =D

-I been a long time lucid dreamer since age of 12, got into dreamcatchers, studied deep spiritual/theories of dreams around 18-24yrs old.
-Strengths are; DEILDs, Awareness, Interpretations, meanings of dreams, recall is average, SSILDs, MILDs, WBTB, ADA, shared dreams and past life dreams
-Shared dreaming and past life dreams are mostly questioned and would be a great help in this Intro class for beginners and experienced alike.

I started having lucid dreams naturally when I was 7 years old. It wasn't until about 3 years ago that I learned what lucid dreaming was and started to actually practice it. I have had nearly 1000 lucid dreams so far.

I think I have a lot of strengths. Techniques I'm good at are DILD, MILD, ADA, DDA, and DEILD. I'm skilled at dream recall, dream control, and dream signs. The thing that I am the most skilled at though is dream incubation.

I'd probably be able to contribute the most by helping out with DVA chat sessions in the IRC. I'm sure I could help out around the forum section though.

Oh, yeah, forgot to mention, As Oreoboy said, my initial thought was in regards to doing the DVA chat, however I'd definitely be down to help on the forums.

It's a pretty flexible gig. Apprentices tend to have more of a presence in one or the other. Unless you're paigey who I'm convinced is 3-5 people in one. That said, #DVA chat needs a boost, so anyone applying should feel free to include that in their "resume." Glad you mentioned it actually, Alucinor, thanks

Uhh, I've been lucid dreaming for.. a while.. maybe. Maybe found out about it two years ago was practicing on my own until one day I google, "lucid dreaming forum" BOOM FIRST RESULT. I average 5-6 lucid dreams per week, most everyday, well when I'm in the zone. AND I forgot to say that I've had probably over one hundred lucid dreams, not exactly sure, I uhh lost track.

Techniques that I'm good at: Well, I can DEILD, DILD, and SSILD (which no one else seems to do ever. :/ ) I've been practicing with WILD but yea I hate it. And I'm going to start messing around with EILD, I guess we'll see how that goes. AND I know a lot about just other techniques and stuff that I don't practice or just generally suck at (you know still gotta know logistics)

AND I would like to help in DVA chats and definitely on the forums, since the chats won't be going on all the time. AND it will finally seem not awkward to post in people's workbooks!

      - I've been practicing lucid dreaming ever since I joined..So, ever since October 2011.

      - I do DILD/MILD. I'm not really sure what would be considered a strength..

      - Mainly #DVA chat, I suppose. Could also mess around in the forums, but chat's probably where I'm most useful at.

I just pretty much thought I'd like to give this a try..To get more back into LDing and help others.
