      Post MobianAngel's Workbook

      Reality Checks:
      - Looking at hands + Counting fingers
      - Nose plug
      - Thumb/palm
      - Gravity/Levitate

      Dream Signs:
      - My room
      - My mother
      - Pictures I have stored on my computer
      - My Shadow the Hedgehog plush

      Short-Term Goals: (Red = Priority #1 | Blue = Priority #2)
      - Meet/Summon Shadow the Hedgehog + do something sexual with him
      - Go to Mobius (Sonic's world)
      - Go to Mushroom World (Super Mario Bros. world)
      - Transform into a dark xenomorph/heartless type of creature
      - Gain flight
      - Gain flexibility
      - Gain super speed
      - Gain super strength

      Long-Term Goals:
      - Increase in lucidity
      - To be able to go to more desired worlds and meet other individuals
      - Able to have lucid dreams more frequently and to be able to continue with my short-term goals whenever I want
      - Increase in recalls
      - Get better at flying

      Reverse Reality Check (RRC):
      - My everyday partake of this existence is important to Shadow. Myself exploring, learning and experiencing the ills and joys of everyday life whilst he watches over me grants him the same sort of experience that he himself wouldn't have had. He wouldn't have the opportunity to experience the same levels of touch, smell, and such with me and share that same kind of warmth if I didn't exist. Sure, He can experience the same sort of physical stigma on his world without myself being present, but there would be no gain in it. There would not be a reason for him to be able to have those experiences without there being a meaning, thus a reason for my existence; someone to be able to share the ills and joys with him:

Shadow The Hedgehog: "Take my word for it. Doing the things I do, smelling, eating, feeling and so on are wonderful indeed. But why have those things when you cannot share them with someone. Someone very special who will understand why you enjoy those things. May it be a low-self esteem thing I have but if it weren't for you, I would be just some sack of wasted life who's just given these sensational nerves that come automatically with every life form and there being no reason to utilize such sensations. You are important to me in that aspect. I have someone who I can share that same level of feel with."

MobianAngel: "I feel selfish...for having a hard time understanding how important my existence that is to you...I feel like I can't even see why it matters."

Shadow The Hedgehog: "It is not selfishness. It is hard for many to see within themselves how important their existence truly is...even me. Even I, at times, think about why I'm so important to you and why I matter to myself. You have given me reason to exist. For a simple solution to the dilemma; would you want to make me live a life of dread or even force myself to non-exist if you so choose to make yourself non-existent? Because that is what will happen if you do choose so. Believe me..."

      * To simply put it, I matter to those who matter to me. My friends, my lover and so on. They need me and without me there wouldn't be them. My friends mean more to me than humanity.

      Lucid/Dream Recall History:
      - 2-3 times that I can remember having very lucid dreams in my entire life at the moment. I remember them by heart.

      Current Technique:
      - After researching, I figured that in the past I have been attempting WILD with a mixture of MILD - I've been doing the same methods for astral projecting whilst attaining sleep paralysis (which was indeed hard to do but I did gain some positive results from it). This was before I knew that these methods are associated with lucid dreaming.

I usually end up doing MILD first, having the desired thoughts flowing in my mind of what I want to dream about (doing dream incubation, daydreaming, relaxation - with some ASMR videos) then attempt to do WILD and get into sleep paralysis.

At the moment, I'm planing on continuing these methods unless something occurs and I have to change things around. I shouldn't have a problem though. I don't really follow a sleep schedule but I do want to get more organized and plan when I will be reciting my mantras, get into a state of relaxation and when I plan on getting to bed.

Routinely Schedule: *Figure out sleep schedule. When I naturally wake up and such to figure out the best time to WILD and such.

This is a schedule that I will be following on a routinely standard. This is set up in a way that complements my lifestyle. *Things may be added or removed depending on how it works out.

      - Morning
      • Do Recall -- Make DJ entry
      • RC round when I awake from slumber.
      • Do RRC

      - Midday
      • Make Report in Dream Yoga Book about yesterday's experience.
      • RC round.
      • Practice Dream Yoga Basic Skill: Version 2: Feel an Intense World.

      - Evening
      • RC round in the evening and before bed.
      • RRC before bed.
      • Recite Mantra
      • Relax around the time before going to bed. Turn on some ASMR videos or lay down quietly. Make sure no outside sources can disturb you -- phone shut off, told mother and friends goodnight and so on.

Unhappy 1/21/2016 -- Thursday [Clocking In]

Haven't been able to achieve anything last night, not even a dream recall in the morning.

I did do my routinely reality checks (RC) and reverse reality checks (RRC) and also a bit of All Day Awareness (ADA) while in regular thought mode. But since I haven't slept the night before yesterday, I was extremely tired to the point that I passed out around 11:20PM. I naturally woke up around 2AM but then went back to sleep and finally awoke (fully) around 6:10AM. The inability to keep my mind conscious resulted in that I couldn't do my dream yoga exercises nor attempts at WILDing.

I will say that I'm glad I slept last night, since I stayed up the night before. I forced myself to not take naps throughout the day due to the fact that it makes me stay up all night. Hopefully I can get my sleep schedule in order to benefit my later needs. And I will try again tonight.

I also have done my daily RC for the morning. [Clocking Out]

      Epaaj.jpg
An Espada/Epaaj from Final Fantasy 10

I went to bed around 1:45AM. I laid upon the mattress with my chest pointing to the ceiling. This is when I attempted version 2 of the basic yoga skill to help relax me while waiting in the midst of WILDing. Dreamlets (HI) were continually going on and off for me. Once I have gotten into a dreamlet, my mind looses focus on the waking world and for that slip of a second I am delved into that dream state. But I would quickly break out of those moments with a exhilarating pressure, panting heavily as my heart raced. It was quite tedious to calm down and do it again. I attempted at it again at 2:24AM.

During that time of WILDing, I pictured my room using my basic 4 senses whilst being completely movement-less. I imagined feeling the space around me and such, then I visioned a monster, particularly an Espada from Final Fantasy 10, entering my room. I then thought of it walking across the floor as it approached the bed. Climbing on-top of it, towering me. I focused on the space around him and I, I focused on his texture, weight upon me and the bed and I also went on imagining myself touching it.

For a moment, I had a HI (well...I think I did) quite longer then the others. During that time my mind lost complete focus on the waking world and I felt the strength of vividness in the thought as if I had achieved my goal. My room was more lit then how it was in the waking world. I could see the espada over me, it then moved to the side where my bed met the wall and made a realistic "cackling-screech" that echoed through my eardrums. The vividness of both the imagery and sound was intense but then I regained complete consciousness once again. I then just went to back to sleep normally. I do remember for a split second that I dreamt about something but I couldn't recall (don't expect a DJ entry today).

I fully woke up around 7:50AM.

Looking more into the reply I got from the WILD class and on here http://www.dreamviews.com/wild/13228...out-noise.html I can see that I am indeed focusing too much on the noise. Though I am still confused on what this means:

Hypnagogic Imagery (HI): As you are first falling asleep, and occasionally during semi-conscious moments between late REM cycles, you are in a state of mixed drowsy wakefulness and light sleep, and you will experience vivid, brief dreamlets called HI. That’s it; there’s nothing more to it.
      And...

      5. Mind the noise! Don’t let SP matter, skip the vibrations et al, and keep HI from turning your natural progression to sleep into some ersatz mystical experience. Note it all, and use some of it (HI in particular) to form your dream if you must (see step #6), but don’t be taken by the “noise,” it does not deserve you!

      6. Form the dream. With awareness in place and the difficult bits of falling asleep behind you, allow yourself to enter the dreaming, and let the fun begin. Be sure to have a dream on tap, because your dreaming mind might not be ready for you, and might just haphazardly deposit you into your room! Form that dream from your own invented schemas, or use HI to “work” images into a particular dreamscape … you know the drill!
This is a BIG thing that I'm still not understanding, I do not know if intentionally imagining a scenario as a way of "forming the dream" being played and it seeping into a kind of vivid imagery would be considered a dreamlet, I guess it does? I feel like I'm doing this all wrong since I have no idea how to differentiate a HI from an actual LD, thus my confusion by the information on what to do and what not to do. So anyone who can elaborate on such things, I would like a clearer explanation on what I'm doing wrong and how I am to fix it. I will look into the WILD sessions more and if need be -- make a thread about these on going problems I'm having later.

I have done my routines for the morning. [Clocking Out]

Edit: http://www.dreamviews.com/wild/13256...ur-dreams.html <-- I think this helped be understand the difference between what I have been getting into and HI. I will continue what I have been doing.

Sadly, there is not much to report on from last night. I was very stressed to the point where I couldn't keep focus on trying to do dream yoga and WILD, no matter how hard I tried and I also have a bit of a headache today due to it. I have been consumed with meaningless thoughts and words that have spewed out from humanity without understanding that they mean little to anything important. I need to spend today doing some ADA and RRC to help me reflect and understand my place on this planet and know that I do not have to be a part of human's society to live a well deserved life. And hopefully tonight I will do better on attempting to LD. [Clocking Out]

I have a confession to make...I'm trying to WILD too fast with a "get it done" mentality which is causing me to lose focus and become worried about not being able to get lucid which is making it harder for me to achieve lucidity. At least....according to my fiancé.

I have this...odd automatic fear that I have to get lucid at a certain date and I feel as if I have to get it done soon. I feel that I'm rushing this due to the fact of my fast pace mindset and always getting in trouble for not getting things done on time thus the urge to try to get lucid right then and there on the first night. I'm assuming that this is not good at all...

I also passed out again before I could do and yoga -_- I'm going to need to move my schedule around for that. I did wake up around 2:30AM naturally (I'm completely clueless to what I have dreamed of before then) and proceeded to WILD. Instead of taking the time to relax myself my mind was all over the place and it was difficult to keep focused 'cus "got to get it done!"...

I sat up with my lover as he spoke to me, stating that I'm trying too hard. That I needed to relax and take my time. Then he mentioned that I have been doing my RCs as if it was chore to get it done without taking the time to actually do it with the mentality that at any moment I could be dreaming and it's necessary to do these things if I'm going to be able to know when I'm in a LD. So he sat in-front of me and helped me go through the steps of reality checking.

I hope that I will learn to calm down and take things slowly for now on. [Clocking Out]

Determination is really helpful for lding, so keep that part up! I also agree that the RCs should be conducted more diligently. Combine those two Ds (determination and diligence) and you'll be golden.

(^ Honestly...I haven't really been keeping track yesterday. So I do not know what I did and what I didn't do that day... :/)

Attempted WILDing again. Without getting to much into detail (because I do not have the time to really explain everything) I did have a split moment of lucidity during a relaxing and loving embrace moment. With laying completely still plus focused imagination included on a particular formation of a lucid dream I wanted, I got vivid glimpse of Shadow the Hedgehog laying in front of me as I cherished his face while he cherished mine. I could see the space in my room for a moment, the depth perspective between him and I and so on. But it didn't really get any much further then that. Much like how the Espada from Final Fantasy 10 scenario went.

After that night, I decided to focus a lot more on this advanced version of daydreaming/imagination to help get my mind warmed up with the vivid imagery for when I do WILD. This requires me to think of a place or individual like Shadow, and focus on that particular setting using all of my senses to see it as if I were to have encountered these things in the waking world. With my fiancé helping me with my stress, I believe that reaching a solid lucid dream won't be too far away. [Clocking Out]

I know I haven't been keeping up with my workbook lately...Just been dealing with a lot of stress lately, specifically from my mother and it's been hard getting into the right mindset for WILDing again. But I'm trying.

No worries. Hope things get better.

It may still help to have a dreaming mindset in such situations. Looking at things from another perspective.
