If your wife lays on her back, I believe that's the position most notorious for causing people to snore because the throat muscles relax the most in that position. I know I snore when I'm on my back, but not when I'm on my stomach or side. Unfortunately that's all I know.

      Good luck finding a solution!
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Give her a nudge. She'll roll over and stop snoring. If that fails, they make mouthpieces and other things that stop snoring.

it sounds like bullox, but a mouth guard would work wonders, thats basically the snore relief thing they sell on tv for $40.

kinda like puffin said, what does it is the jaw relaxing and making a kind of seal pressing against your throat, so having her try n sleep on her side or even her stomach would help immensely. or some breath-right strips.

Throw a bucket of water on her that should stop her! No im kidding. There is this cheap type of treatment that is put on the nose and prevents snoring. (Or makes it quieter) They are available at most Chemists. Hope that helps you a little.

Breathe-right strips actually only open the nasal passageways, not the throat. And the throat's the main cause of snoring.

Main cause, not the only cause, that's why I said, "or some breath right strips"
