      Ey Dreamers!

      Hi dreamers!

My name is Jogui, (Jordi), and I'm from Spain, Catalonia (Yeah, sorry for my stupid english errors, i do the best that i can )
I'm 16 years old, I'm studing first year of " pre-university ", i wanna be programmer, a programmer of virtual enviroments.

All of my life i've been a dreamer, a dreamer of nightmares (shit!).
In my first-child years (2 to 5 years old), i remember a lot of very strange dreams, where I felt very insecure because they dealt in very abstract forms the numbers with decimals ( for example: i've to refuel a machine, a machine that will decide the future of the Earth , like a robot, and every "box" of fuel, it filled it 2/3 of a progress bar, and when the bar is completed 3 times, the machine save the Earth, but i put 5 boxes of fuel ( 5 * 0.66 = 3.3 bars ), i pass the limit of 3 bars completed, and the Earth end... :S) all of this was with bars, and boxs, all graphic, with 3 years i didn't know decimal numbers...
And since childhood I have been very good with math ...

But my story don't end here, with three years, nightmares began, every night, aliens and aliens conquering a mall, because i saw the release of Mars Attack (yeah, the comedy film). In the next two months, every night I had this nightmare, but i day i say "This is a dream, fuck you aliens!" and never again i've had this nightmare ( maybe a Lucid Dream? I've never had one ).
But all my life i've had 2 to 5 or more nightmares every week, a 80% of my dreams.

I dont know if full Lucid dreams can be like the real life, but i remain hopeful ^^.

And this is my story, a life full of nightmares and crazy dreams, always in spectator mode, I hope you understand my english and see you in the forum and irc !

      Bye Bye!

P.D: God, the longer text in english that i posted in my life! x'D

Welcome! You haven very interesting dreams! I do believe that was a lucid dream, you only need to know that you are dreaming to have it categorized as a lucid dream. Lucid dreams can be more vivid than real life, it just takes practice and the right nutrients to achieve. I bid you good luck, as lucid dreaming will help your future career as a programmer.

      Welcome to DV (Dreamviews)!

You seem to have a very interesting dream life, especially since it was a recurring dream that you claim happened almost every night! I haven't heard of that at all, and I'm glad you were able to stop the nightmares! I had a similar experience once, but they were hypnogogic hallucinations (you will learn more about those in the future), and I thought they were demons. Once I started lucid dreaming, they started to go away, as I knew what they were at that point.

Well, it seems like you have had a very good life (not including the nightmares part of it), and I hope it continues to stay good! I also wish you good luck in lucid dreaming, as they can be very fun once you get very good at them! Hopefully you will learn to lucid dream from good teachers, and I hope you will find this a wonderful community!

Happy dreaming! Your English is very good as well!

Welcome to DV! And I'd say you're in luck, because nightmares are probably the easiest kind of dream to get lucid from (as opposed to my dreams that are just humdrum life that for all I know could be real).

Ah, you must speak spanish too then!
Anyway, welcome to DV! Also, yes, lucid dreams can get as real as real life, you will just need practice, its cool that you used them to get rid of nightmares too.

Welcome to DV! Studying your dreams and keeping a dream journal can help you face your nightmares - the majority of the dreams I've had in my life have been very frightening, or intense, or filled with anxiety. After studying lucid dreaming and keeping a dream journal, I almost never have bad dreams - I see the dream for what it is, and have learned to resolve those situations as they come. I hope you learn a lot and enjoy the world of lucid dreaming!
