Thread: is finding your dreamguide always a scary experience?

I wouldn't think it should be scary. But they say that scary dreams are when something important is trying to get your attention.
Do you mind going into more detail about what happened? Do you feel that the character you met was your dream guide? Maybe it wasn't.

Take my reply with a grain of salt because I have never met my dream guide (yet). With that said, I would remind you that your dream guide is produced by your own brain. Since it is produced by your own brain, it shouldn't be something to find scary. But if it is scary, maybe you should ask your dream guide why you find him/her scary. The wacky thing is you would be having a conversation with yourself in an odd way. If you get an answer, I bet you would find yourself relieved and then find your dream guide to be a reassuring friend. Your thoughts on this suggestion?

when I made myself meet my dreamguide I imagined that he/she was around the corner. When I turned the corner I was in a dark hallway and there was a figure wearing a black cloak standing with their back turned towards me. I was really scared but I forced myself to chase it. At the end of the hall I pulled it's cloak off and it was a little girl with curly brown hair and blue eyes. I asked her if she was my dreamguide she said no with an expressionless face.

Creepy little girl eh? I met my dream guide once and it was my very first lucid dream after joining the site. He resembled merlin the wizard and was accompanied by cerberus. I was afraid at first, but he ended up taking me to a lucid dreaming cookout, lol.

Well the girl said she wasn't your dream guide so I'm guessing your actual one will be a lot nicer since they are there to help

A long time ago I met my dream guide a few times, but I havn't seen her in a while so I might have a new one or something. She was a little girl with black hair and she wore a purple dress. She wasn't really scary, but she was always snotty like she was better than me. It was kinda a love hate relationship. When I meet her again I hope she has changed a little

i hope mine is something awesome like a really hot girl that is hard to get but then i have sex with her eventually that would be epic as hell

I remembered that one time I met someone who I thought was my dream guide. She looked kind of scary. She told me that it was my mind making her look scary.

based on what I have read here I find it simple but I still can't relate to that dream guide? Pardon me since I am new here can someone tell me what is a dream guide all about? I'll be glad to hear it from you guys. Just want to learn what is it all about. Since I might have meet my dream guide before on my dreams but I have not known it was him/her.

A dreamguide is basically a recurring dream character that helps you out with lucid dreaming. A dreamguide can be a dream sign, and it can also teach you how to do things in lucid dreams that you could not learn on your own (flyng, superpowers etc)

@iFatal - Probably one and the same. I think quite a few different publications have had their "Merlin the Wizard." My mind formed him from various King Arthur stories/movies/etc .

Nah, merlin didn't try to rape me, lol. Though I did have a lucid dream where Gandalf kept trying to pinch my ass.

My dream guide (every dream diff guide) is always a good and kind person who seems impt and connected to me in some ways..though i can't remember them at all.
Sometimes, I even lost them on the way.. .. ..they protected me, some sacrificed themselves , such that when i woke up, I felt like i lost someone precious, and felt horrible.
Or its either no guide at all -rarely- (which only occurs in nightmares).

are dream guides sort of anything? Since based on what I have read they are the one who are present in your dreams. But here is my question regarding my dream guide since this animal is always included in my dream.

I keep on dreaming of this snake were in it is always included in my dreams. So the snake is my dream guide? I mean it's kinda weirdo and scary since I have a fear for snakes. Can someone explain it to me? thanks for your contributions.

Hmm...your dream guide is generally someone or something that helps you within the dream. Usually with attaining lucidity or performing a dream action (flying, teleporting, etc). Your dream guide is fabricated by your own mind, so it is up to you who your dream guide is. As for the snake, I think your fear has much more to do with it recurring than it being a dream guide .
