So, I once had this dream(nightmare) , I knew I was dreaming, but couldnt control it. I was like, cRAP!!I have to wake up I have to wake up I have to wake up and I woke up. Is that a lucid dream or not? |

Yeah it became a lucid dream the moment you realised you were dreaming. However I don't think it was controlled which is the next step after becoming lucid |
|
If you knew you were dreaming, you were lucid dreaming. Control has nothing to do with it, I rarely control my lucid dreams. |

Yeah, i meant what Ninja said, sorry my sentence was quite ambiguous . |

That counts. As long as you knew you were dreaming, it was a lucid dream. Too bad you tried to wake up |

Wait. So you cant always control lucid dreams? But....Then wats so good about LD??? |
|
Well if you want to control them then you can. Some people just like to go along with the dream, you don't always need to break the boundaries. Watching a dream unfold can be really amazing. |

Oh.Ok, so you can choose to control it or not! Well, I should have just soared away from the nightmare!!! DAMN it for once I have a LD and I choose to end it !!! UGH!! |

It was the best of times. It was the end of times.
The reason to control dream is to give your self an adventure or pleasing experience with only expectations of having an enjoyable experience. |
