      do you knew be?

a hello to the team form another new dreamer.

until a few months ago i was one of those that hadn't really known anything about lucid dreaming. (and 99.9% yet to learn) it is amazing that such a substantial experience is not part of main stream discussion, (im freaking 33, why hasn't someone told about this earlier god nabit!" : ) it is only by chance that i had three LD's before doing a bit of reading to find many do and many do often. beautiful.

until recently though my love for a herbal lacing of consciousness vastly dulled my dream state. then i moved on to a project where it wasn't accessible, at first disappointed, now though am enjoying the dreamwolrd to a point where dulling it is no interest. (burning man may make a little dint) ; )

since starting a journal two weeks ago have had some substantial changes in my dream activity (not yet achieved intentional lucidity). looking forward to where it is going. but still plenty to learn.

am interested to know more about shared dream states, only heard the term used, to a novice it sounds... kind of contrary to what dreaming is. i hope im way of the track because i would love for it to be fact.

this is the dungeons and dragons i wanted as a child!

see your good souls on the board.

      Hey korky, Welcome to Dreamviews!!

I also wish I had been told earlier about lucid dreaming! It's great you started to journal your dreams, that will end up really helping you.

There are a few people here interested in shared dreaming, including me. I think it is very interesting, but have yet to experience or prove it. You can join the shared dreaming project, and try to test it out yourself. We are all trying to meet at Chichen Itza while lucid, and experience shared dreaming ourselves.

Anyway I hope to see you posting around more, and good luck on your lucid dreams!

Oh man!! I actually knew about LD way back in the 80's sometime, or maybe early 90's - I think I saw an ad for Stephen LaBerge's Dream Institute or whatever it was called probably on the pages of Analog magazine or something similar, and the idea took hold, but there was no internet then and he hadn't yet written Experiencing the World of Lucid Dreaming. In those days there was no way to learn about this kind of stuff, so it wasn't until I got a computer that I did a google and ended up here. In fact, I'm actually ashamed of how long it took me to realize the internet gave me total access to info about Lucidity. When the idea finally stuck me (after having a computer for a good 10 years or so!!) it was a real facepalm moment.

thanks for the warm welcome bods.

I had a brief look at the shared dreaming project and i must say i will surely be contributing once i get the lucidity down and dancing. thanks.
Yeh, the internet has cranked the evolutionary knob somewhat, many new worlds have opened up for me through cyber, its ability to connect communities like this one is alone worth its wait (sic) in gold.
Currently reading 'Experiencing the World of Lucid Dreaming' in ebook, but feel free to recommend otherwise. seemed like a good place to start and a founding piece to have under the belt before heading north.

looking forward to exploring alternative and unexplored landscapes with you all.

hat off to all those posting LD dream journals, what a great resource for us cadets to wander.

will keep the reptile eyes peeled for names of green.

      Welcome to DV

The mainstream won't discuss LDs because they have such a limited view on dreaming. Most people have too poor of a dream recall to remember more than one or two images from their dreams, and as such, they think all dreams are simply a blurry mess of thoughts you experience during night. This is what I discovered upon speaking about LDing to people from various cultures online. This is a sad truth.
