It depends on the mindset you go in with. If you are completely terrified beforehand, then when you do actually experience SP, you will obviously be scared, and this fear during SP is one of the things that fuels the hallucinations people see. On the other hand peole that are not scared of sleep paralysis make hallucinate and see good things. If you do experience sleep paralysis and you open your eyes and hallucinate, i would just close my eyes and remember that nothing I see, hear or feel can hurt me and most likely if you remain awake mentally, you will fall into a lucid dream. Personally, most of my lucid dreams were by the WILD method but I have not ever truely experienced sleep paralysis except once.
