The first thing to do to improve dream recall is usually a Dream Journal. The more details and dreams you put into your DJ the better. If that doesn't fit into your schedule, note some keywords down and write the dream sometime later the day.
Personal Records so far: Max lucids per day: 2 | Max lucids per week: 4 | Max lucids per month: 8 | Max dreams recalled in one night: 17
      Longest lucid dream: ~35min | Highest flight: zoomed out of common existence [WTF?] | Fastest speed: FTL | DILD/EILD/DEILD [X] | WILD/VILD [X] | MILD/FILD/HILD [ ]

      Welcome to DreamViews!

Like StaySharp mentioned, keeping a dream journal is the best way to improve dream recall. Keeping a dream journal is also the first and most important step in lucid dreaming.
For more information on dream recall and keeping a dream journal, I suggest you take a look at the following articles:

Dream Recall - An article explaining why dream recall is important.
Dream Recall Tutorial - A tutorial on improving dream recall and keeping a dream journal.

      I hope this helps.

Hi Shamanite, welcome to Dreamviews! :3

If you want to improve your dream recall, definitely start up a dream journal if you haven't yet. Also set your intentions to remember more dreams, and know that you'll succeed in doing so. Make sure you get enough sleep each night because less sleep = less dreams to remember, and if you're tired you may not be as mentally active either, therefore causing less recall. Some people drink apple juice, or take vitamin B6 supplements as well.

Good luck, and if you have any other questions feel free to ask.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

      Hi there my friend,
Welcome to DV. Like what Puffin said, I suggest you get yourself a Dream Journal . It can aid and exercise your dream recall. There's also this trick that can assist you in remembering your dreams. On the very moment you wake up, try to remain still as if you're still sleeping. While still, that's the time you attempt to recollect your dreams. This technique makes recalling your dreams in the morning much easier. Also, try to have a steady sleep schedule as much as possible. So if you normally sleep at 9pm, then 9pm it is.

Hope this helps and good luck in the field of lucid dreaming

Welcome to DV! As EVERY OTHER PERSON WHO'S REPLIED has said, dreamjournal is your best bet I drink apple juice at night, too. Sometimes, you'll be going about your day, see something random and connect it to an unremembered dream from the night before! It happens to me a lot!

      See you around!

When I wake up I immediately start telling my dream to myself. It comes out as senseless ramblings at first but I always say a key thing that brings the memory of the dream back.

      Welcome to Dreamviews Shamanite!

It will be the beginning of many lucids for you Enjyu posted some good links you should really check out. The Dream Recall Tutorial lists tons of tips and hints of how to remember your dreams.

Personally, when I wake up I lay still for a few seconds (or minutes) and don't think about anything except for my dreams. Any little detail you can remember you should jot down. A color, object, feeling, etc. If i'm in a hurry I just write down key words, and fill in the blanks later when I have time. Good luck!
