      Really Really Scary???

Hi to everyone.I found lycid dreaming 2-3 days ago but believe me i've read a tons of information. So i found a material about having lucid dream by:

You lay in your bed and close your eyes.Rellax your body and meditaing( for example 3 seconds breathing method)Also you can do that 99 Im dreaming..98 im dreaming...And you shod not thinkg about anything. BUT also i stuck on many comments of peaople that are saying that they only get sleeping paralys and they saw REALLY scary things...my moms, grandpa and other poople i know are also having that visions without even trying to lucid. Its something (demon, shadow and etc.) that its in your room,on your chest and you cant move, you cant scream and its just staring you.

But i try to get lucid...So i went to the bed.I've closed my eyes and i try to get Lucid.I've stayed like this maybe 15 min and there is ....i felt icehs, need to move but i've just standed still. And in one moment i felt my bode like gething a tons of weight out of my chest i felt like its myabe the feeling for becoming Lucid but imedeatly i woke up and get out of bed cuz i felt scared from that to become paralized and see something...I've tried that in the morning and i also have felt that thing but i again woke up...So please tell my is it something to be really scared and how to deal with that...I dont wanna se monster in my room!

Sleep paralysis can be frightening. Once you get used to it, and you know it can't hurt you, much of the fear disappears. It is not necessary to lucid dream. There are many different ways of lucid dreaming. If sleep paralysis frightens you, try a different method.

If you are just getting started, check out the DILD guide:
DILD Tutorial - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views
It doesn't require you to witness your hypnagogia like WILD (what you are describing). All you have to do is get in the habit of constantly questioning whether or not you are dreaming. You can always try WILD again once you become more comfortable with dreaming and lucid dreaming, and are no longer scared.

      Hello.
The technique you tried was WILD, entering a lucid dream directly from your waking state. There is an another technique called DILD, becoming aware that you are dreaming during a dream. DILD is considered to be easier. If you try to WILD, you will probably experience SP (sleep paralysis) and HH (hypnagogic hallucinations). Feeling weight on your chest is a common sign that accompanies SP. You should be happy you experienced SP on your first try, it is a big step towards succeeding in WILD. There is nothing to be afraid of. However if you dislike it, you can try DILD instead.

Well im not some little girl and if WILD is the best way i can get Lucid i can try it but can try it but just tell me...If i try WILD like i do before and that feeling start again...i'll probaly be paralyzed and there will be some creature right? Can i with all my will get ut and make the fun begin?Or i'll be just paralyzed...And i wonder is it so real that when i see it to dont want to sleep again like some people complain......I have journal and yesterday i've had a dream that i clearly remeber now.Very often i have dreams that i clearly remember...even before knowing about Lucid...Even i've had dreams that i've dreamed before 1 or 2 mounts but i clearly remember them even now.

If you manage to keep a positive attitude, there won't be any creatures. I don't see any when I have SP and HH. Also you won't suffocate if breathing feels hard. It is just an illusion. Remember that at worst, you wake up. If you are too afraid, don't WILD.

I've never seen anything scary during sleep paralysis. Just because you're WILDing doesn't mean that you have to see hallucinations, so don't worry about them. Just relax when you're in sleep paralysis. If you stay calm, you'll enter a lucid dream very quickly.

You must remember sleep paralysis is a normal part of falling asleep, so you don't hurt yourself while you're dreaming. Auditory/Visual hallucinations happen to every single one of us here at DreamViews and they are our own struggles in different ways. Nobodies hallucinations are the same. Keep in mind that none of these hallucinations are real and WILL NOT hurt you. The only thing that can really hurt you in these situations is you by making it worse than it really is. Now I'm not saying that SP isn't scary, because believe me it is. Keep trying, keep working at it. Tell yourself that you won't be afraid before you go to bed every night. Don't just tell yourself however, believe it. If you truly believe it then you won't be afraid. Conquering your fears plays a massive roll in the world of lucid dreaming.

Good luck. If you have any questions feel free to send me a personal message.

The method is called WBTB. I haven't tried WILD, so I can't share any experiences, but for me DILD and WBTB works the best. Most of my lucids, I've gotten them with WBTB. So I'd suggest that you try other techniques and see which works the best or you. Also welcome to DV.
      Lucid dreaming since September 2011!!!

Its not dangerus! it mat look scary creepy etc. but SP wont harm you. while you going to the SP (by not scratch where its itching and lay still.) just think about something positive that will help get the scary monster away
