Smile Getting back into Lucid Dreaming

      Hi all,

I used to be very active with lucid dreaming a few years ago, I stopped for no reason at all and am looking to get back into it. I've forgotten how to do it so you'll all have to teach me

One little thing, is it possible to LD with 7 hours of sleep a night?

      Thanks guys.

      Welcome back

Yes, you can LD with just about any amount of sleep (as long as it has a REM period) though a full 8 hours or more is best. As long as it's constant you shouldn't have any problems and even if it's not it's not the end of the world.

Hello Overlord, welcome to DV! Burke's right, you should be fine with 7 hours of sleep. I know that some people that work focus most on LDing over the weekends though, since they can sleep in and focus on their dreams more.

I don't know if you kept a dream journal before, but if you did, perhaps go through it and read over some of your old lucid dreams? That should be helpful in incubating a dream, as well as giving you more motivation! This site is full of information, so I'm sure you'll be just fine. If you have questions, feel free to make a thread, PM me or just ask here!

Welcome to Dream Views! Or welcome back. It is even possable to LD during a nap, so it should be possable. Some sleep habits may make it harder, but not impossable.

      Thanks guys.

I tried to remember my dreams last night with no success. I used to remember multiple dreams a night. I better start reading the tutorials!

Welcome back. Stick with it, and you will be dreaming again in no time. Do you have any old dream journals you could read through? That might help you get back into the right mindset.
