Getting back in the game :)

I left the idea of being lucid because school kept eating my time. I am planning to lucid dream again seeing it is summer holiday. This time, I WILL stick to it, no matter how long it takes.

I am trying to WILD lately and I just can’t do it like I used to. I had two LDs last year. They were very short but it was baby steps I guess.

All I need is an extra "push" to get me starting again. Something motivating.

If you want to help, you can start by telling me what did you do to lucid and how long it took you to do it? What MP3s you have that have helped you in being lucid?

I took me 3 weeks to be lucid last year, let’s hope it is the same thing this year

My first lucid also took me about 3 weeks and that was just a DILD. I find a combination of WBTB and MILD works very well especially if you don't have the time for a WILD or just prefer other methods. The nice thing about this combo is you can preform MILD both while falling asleep the first time as well as again when you go back to bed after your WBTB. As for mp3s I haven't really used any so I can't help you there.

      Also welcome back!

      Welcome back!

I guess it depends on you - how excited can you get about lucid dreaming. Practice will also help. If you were not reading the threads lately, check it out. Tons of great motivational posts. Some of them are 1000 things to do in a lucid dream and DCs say the darndest thing.

Of course, re-read the tutorials to refresh your memory and excitement. You could also join a class in DV Academy, or just read their lessons. Happy dreams

Hello goh13, welcome back to DV. I'm sure you'll have many LDs, now that you can focus on them!

It took me a month to have my first LD, it was a DILD. I had been practicing DILD, MILD and SAT. I had just gone to bed after reading a lot of tutorials on DV. Later on I experimented with isochronic tones, I had mild success with them. I found a couple of songs labeled isochronic tones on YouTube and looped them while I slept. Unlike binaural beats, you don't need to wear headphones for isochronic tones.

I had my first lucid dream after about 3 weeks.. definatly worth the wait.. Even if you can't control it, it's still an incredible experience and I can assure you most members on DV's will agree with me

      Good luck!
