Red face Hello My name is Steph and I joined to share experiences :)

So I have been lucid dreaming for years and I practice all the time. I tend to lucid dream 5 to 7 nights a week and within those nights I can have anywhere from 3 to 20 lucid dreams usually induced by pressing my snooze button when I should be getting ready :p. Is it common for someone who has never been taught to lucid dream, to do it as often as I do? I feel a little weird about it because by the time I started trying to become better at it, I had already mastered most of the techniques explained by people who study lucid dreaming. So as you can guess, I want more difficult and advanced exercises
Talk to me! I'm anxious to here from my fellow dreamers!
      Steph

Can you explain your routine in depth, bed times, mantra's, etc Your experience is extremely valuable and would definetely be appreciated trying out/ helping our experiments. Would you mind popping in to my Deild thread (See Signature) and reading it through, I would love to hear your opinion on the guide and how you possibly do it.

      Hello Steph, welcome to DreamViews!

Wow that's very impressive, sounds like you're a natural. Don't feel weird about it at all, there are people who have been doing it all their lives without knowing what it really is. I think you'll have much fun doing the tasks of the month. You can check them out here: Task of the Month

You can even do the tasks from the previous months, they're all very interesting and fun.

And as with Dutchraptor, may we know what method and technique you practice?

Have fun browsing the site, and happy dreaming!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

I will definitely do that! Sorry it took me a while to respond, I am a bartender and a student so I tend to be busy often. I will take the time to read it and let give you tons of feedback It is awesome to talk to others that share similar experiences!

I actually don't really know what technique I use. It usually just happens but I will read around the site and let you know what I do after I see the different techniques for it. It really just depends. I usually lucid dream a lot but I haven't in like three days (its been interesting) before this dry streak started, I had a dozen lucid dreams in a row one morning. I kept pressing snooze on my alarm and I would fall back into a lucid dream. It was more fun that usual even because since I was closer to consciousness, controlling my dreams took less effort

I will definitely look at the tasks, thanks for the reference. Sounds like a blast!

If you have the time, maybe you can share some of your Dream experiences with all of us by starting a Dream Journal here on the site. I look forward to hearing more about your Lucid experiences and what it is that enables you to Dream this way so frequently. What part of New Mexico are you from? If you don't mind sharing.
      I Dreamed a Dream
In it, saw people I've never seen
      Gone places I've never been
And done things I'd do again.

Hi Steph! I'm sure you will have a blast here. Maybe the next step is to try and start recalling and writing down your lucid dreams in great detail? This prolongs the awesomeness of your adventures and makes great reading material in the future as you will find that ou can remember what it was like even years from now

With the snooze alarm, well, it sounds like the original WBTB method. The whole goal is to get into ANOTHER deep REM period, and I think that's what you are doing. The original WBTB Method by Stephen LaBerge is to wake up 2 hours before you normally wake up, (If I wake up at 8:00AM I will wake up at 6:00AM) and then go about your daily routines. 20-30 minutes before your original waking time just focus on Lucidity. The part that comes in with this is that you oversleep and somehow hit a REM period.

Hey Steph, welcome to Dream Views!

It sounds like you're a natural lucid dreamer. You have been 'blessed' with the ability to do it very well. Others, like me, have to study and train hard to achieve what you have. However, there are many others that are naturals, it's just not as common.

You should visit the "1000 things to do in a lucid dream" thread. Maybe if you read through some of the crazy ideas that people have come up with, you could get some ideas to try.

One last thing: How is your control? Can you do anything you want to do?

I will definitely share some experiences, I have been meaning to do a dream journal for quite some time but I get lazy lol. I am actually extremely good at recalling details of my dreams I think just from practice because in the morning as I am getting ready or laying in bed, I think about the different dreams I had that night and contemplate why my dreams went that direction. My dreams are strongly influenced by what is going on in my life.

As I was saying above, I already recall them with a ridiculous amount of detail and I should write them down so I will try to start doing that. I have an archive in my head of all my greatest adventures and I could even write some of those to share with you all .

I have noticed that, I tend to fall into a very deep sleep very quickly when I am really tired. I have never really tried to change my schedule to lucid dream more frequently. I really have a horrible sleep schedule though so my body is prepared to deep sleep whenever, if it is the middle of the day or the middle of the night. I can't wait till I have a regular job that makes it so I don't have to work till three in the morning and then during the week go to school so I have an earlier bed time. It takes a toll on me honestly :/

      I would love to!
My control depends on how "lucid" I am during the dream, I have noticed stages of lucidity. I thought that I hadn't been lucid in my dreams the last few days but today I realized I am just not as lucid as usual. Last night I had a dream and I wasn't fully aware that I was dreaming but I was consciously changing things in my favor because I didn't like how the dream was going at the time. This is a lower level of lucidity than I am used to. I sometimes fully realize I am dreaming and start playing around. Controlling a dream completely is actually really difficult and take a lot of effort. I have succeeded into changing myself into a different person, changing my body (making myself taller, changing hair color, etc.), changing other people's appearances, changing scenes ( this is by far the most difficult thing to change, after a lot of failure I looked up some tricks and found if you look into a mirror and change the scene in the mirror you can walk into it. I am still not very good at this, I tried to make a jungle once and walked into a desert lol I was irritated to say the least. It also works with doorways) I have to be at the highest level of lucidity to accomplish any of these things, mostly because when I am fully lucid I can tap into memories from the waking world about the things I actually want to try while lucid dreaming. When I am only semi-lucid I can usually only modify objects and fly. Flying in dreams is a common form of transportation for me because walking and running is so tedious in the dream world. Sometimes its hard to fly so I find or create a creature to fly for me, I use dragons and eagles a lot. Sorry about the run on sentences lol
