      First time poster

Hey im braeden im a first time poster and i wanted to introduce myself and seek some help. I recently have had some troubling experiences of deja vu 3-6 times a day for sometimes 5 days in a row. As well as feeling im being attacked during sleep. This has cause issues of panic attacks and my docter wants to prescribe me xanax but i refuse. After googling "loud ringing and sleep paralysis" which is what ive been experiencing Ive come to the realisation that im attempting a lucid dream. Which i never even knew about until today. I mean i heard the term before but never knew its meaning. Ok ok ill get to the point. Im 27 male truck driver and this experience is freaking me out. Im seeking help about panic feelings ive been getting when im dreaming and eerything freezes and i feel like im being attacked by intense sound waves with Loud rining in my ears. I freak and immediatly repeat religious thoughts to keep me from being sucked into whatever that is. And it seems to break the event. Now im not very religious but ive been using this method because subconciously when im scared I turn to religion. Anyways how to i make it stop or let it continue without the fear aspect and paralysis.

This is now happening more frequently

Im soo embarrased about talking about it too. Is that normal..?

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

I could be wrong, but the sounds could be happening as you falling asleep, just before you actually fall asleep. They are most likely sounds of your body falling asleep. People normally don't notice them, because your mind falls asleep at the same time as your body does.

But if for some reason your mind is still awake when your body starts to shut down, you can hear, feel or see all kinds of stuff. They are called hypnagogic hallucinations (HH). Google them and see, if they resemle what you experience.

When we try to induce lucid dream via WILD, we do notice these HH. I guess same thing could happen, if you have lot's on your mind and you are still awake, while your body is shutting down to sleep. These sounds could be scary, especially if you don't know what is going on. Do you think this is what's causing your panic?

Paralysis (SP), or REM attonia, happens to us every time we dream. It keeps us from acting out our dreams. But it starts after we fall asleep, so normally you don't notice it, even when you WILDing and watching your body fall asleep. So unless you having SP regularly, you should not notice it while inducing WILD lucid dreams.

But if by "everything freezes" you mean that you can't move, no matter how hard you try and that's when panic starts, that could be SP. SP is often accompanied by panic.

After you read a few posts here, you will see, that there is nothing to be embarassed about. Hope this helps a little.

Well im already dreaming when the event starts. Ill be maybe what seems to be halfway through a dream. Then someing which seems to be foreign comes into the dream. I look at it
. At this point the following happens: my vision begins to blurr in the dream, an low ringing begins to increase becoming extremely loud at the same time the blurring increases, i begin to become paralyzed. At this moment i realize this is not real.then ringing and blurring become sooo intense i just wake up. Its like somethings got me and doesnt want to let go. Sometimes its and object sometimes its a person. When i wake up i can still hear the ringing and im out of breath. I figure maybe im just having odd nightmares.

Welcome to Dream Views! This is the place to be for anyone wanting to learn how to lucid dream. There is no quick answer to your question, but the Dream guide team is here to help you navigate the forum and answer questions. We all have 3 green stars above our avatar. Click on our user name and you can then select private message if you have a question, or you can start new threads. Don't worry about starting threads that have been started before, just try it out, if it ends up in the wrong place one of us can move it for you.

One thing you can do in a post is place a link to another thread. I have done this below. You can click on the colored words to see the new thread. Start with this extra basic one, it will help you read the acronyms in other posts, Help With Acronyms For Complete Beginners

After that one the very first thing you should do is check out basic tutorials. This one covers most of the terms you will see members using in much more depth, so start here, http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/beginn...eaming-124786/

Also be sure to check out the DVA Dream Views Acadamy, click on this link to get there, DV Academy.

Matte , our Dream Guide team leader runs a general lucid dreaming class, and you can join in contests where you gain points for dreams you have. General Lucid Dreaming (Matte87)

Gab , another Dream Guide runs a class that is very valuable to beginners on MILD/DILD, which is by far the best method to start with. DILD (Hukif and gab)

Finally as far as the DVA stuff goes, there is a class on introduction to lucid dreaming. This is a great place if you are just starting out and need a little personal help. Intro Class (OpheliaBlue, RareCola, CanisLucidus, Chimpertainment, Xanous)

Now, on the lighter side, you may be excited to learn to fly! Here is a thread where people explain how they went about learning to fly, http://www.dreamviews.com/f14/can-u-...u-learn-40468/

Then just for a laugh here is a thread where people list all the things they want to do in an LD. It is mostly light hearted and supposed to be funny, http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/1000-t...-dream-104556/

Have fun and good luck with your dreaming!
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.
