      Cool Hello everyone!!! First Lucid Dream!

      Hello dreamers, I am new to this forum. I had my first lucid dreams last night. Before I went to bed I ate several small servings of Tryptophan containing foods: Cashews, Milk, Parmesan Cheese, and Cottage Cheese. Then I slept for 4-5 hours then used the restroom, watched trippy fractal videos, and read a couple pages from a book on dream art. When I wen't back to sleep I had the intentions of lucid dreaming.

      Once I was dreaming I performed a reality check by looking at my hands to count how many fingers I had, and when I looked I saw a sixth finger! It looked like a sixth abnormally bent pinky lol. This was my first reality check I have done in a dream and then I was lucid. For some reason in the dream I told my Dad to look at his hands, but he didn't notice anything special (of course, because he is dream extra). The first thing I thought to do was to go to an extraordinary location (it was either falling through the universe or mountains, but I forgot). I walked to a door, closed my eyes, opened the door and walked through, and when I reopened my eyes I was just outside

      I had another LD that night where I was sitting on my bed and performed the reality check of counting my fingers, and saw the same fucked up pinky. I got up from the bed and began spinning with my eyes closed, and it was awesome! I can't remember what happened after that.

      I also had 2 regular dreams that night, and I have never been able to recall 4 dreams. I think it had to do with the Tryptophan foods. I was wondering if you guys had any tips on relocating yourselves while you LDing.

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

      Hey, that's some awesome success, congrats. Looking at hands and counting fingers is one of my favorite RCs.

      Keep it up, both the practice and your enthusiasm. Don't forget to write your dreams in a dream journal. We have a pretty awesome DJ system here on dreamviews, where people can read and comment on them. Or just use a paper notebook, or you PC, or anything that works for you. Happy dreams

      Check out DreamControl for info about relocating. But you can try what you did -

      - imagin the place you want to be and knowing, it's behind the door
      - use a teleportation device
      - fly there
      - zoom there
      - say "when I turn around, there is [insert place]" and know that it will be so
      - say the say thing when near a street corner - that it will be there
      - step through a portal...

      The options are limited only by your imagination. Try them out, make your own to see which one will work the best for you.

      Yeah I forgot to mention that I do keep a dream journal, and my recall has been improving successfully since I started it at the begining of the month. I could recall 4 of my dreams last night! Tonight I am going to re-imagine some of the recalled dreams I've had, but think about what I would do if I were lucid in the setting.

      That's the spirit! If you do this during your WBTB, you'll have pretty good chances of inducing a MILD. Let us know how did it work!
