Hello, everyone! Newbie member here, as would be the norm in this forum. I joined this website because I saw pages from all over here popping up when I Google searched for help in lucid dreaming; and I thought that this would be a great place to join and develop my lucid dreaming lifestyle! ... To which I'm also pretty new. I started really getting into this stuff just two or three weeks ago and so far, I haven't had much remarkable success in the field; but I'm looking forward to dreaming it up with the rest of the people here. This looks like a really exciting and helpful community - and especially interesting with all the periodic lucid tasks and the DWA...? That's something really fascinating that I can't wait to get into once I've got the hold of this oneironaut thing.
Previously, received most of my teachings on this subject from YouTubers, GizEdwards and ReeceJones87, but I've already watched all their videos relating to lucid dreaming and they seem to be inactive right now anyway, so I've been wondering where I should go regularly to receive information about this stuff now. This website looks better than anything I'd imagine to find. Alright, I've already gotten the message through that I'm excited about this. So... end of message, I suppose.

I started with ASAPScience's lucid dream video, then went on to watch GizEdwards videos.

I am now a good lucid dreamer, and you have lots of enthusiasm and you seem like a optimist which is great for lucid dreaming.

Hmm, does it? I wasn't consciously referring to anything when I decided to use this username; but then, maybe it was under some unconscious influence...

I decided to use this name because 1) it sounds cool and 2) and works well with the Eleventh Doctor profile picture. (For the Doctor is but a wanderer who journeys through the stars...) Oh. And hey, fellow Doctor Who and MLP: FiM fan here as well!

Oo, these are pretty interesting, yes.

Although, aside from the podcasts, I'm still kind of having trouble with finding where to begin on this site... or to begin after I've begun? Because there's just so much to learn here, I'm not sure where to go.

Is there a particular route to take in joining the DreamViews Academy, for instance? Besides reading the sticky threads? Or just jump in on any thread?

Opening a workbook in the academy - like Ophelia suggested - that's the best thing you can do to learn on here in my view.
I've got one in DILD as well - plus one in the Intro-Class - but that's me and my tendency to overdo things.
I'm very, very happy with my teachers - and hanging out in the TOTM thread also does something - even if you don't LD yet - it really inspired and motivated me. Happy dreamings!

StephL, huh... two workbooks, then. Okay, I guess I should try that after all. Oh, one question, though, if you can answer it: I figured initially that, since the DILD class operates on the workbook system, the WILD class would as well; but I see that that's not the case. What's the main way to be educated on Sageous' WILD classes, then? It sure doesn't seem like there's a lot of threads there... I know that, as a novice lucid dreamer, I should focus on DILDs; but I'm excited to get WILDs down eventually as well!

Main way to get educated in the WILD class is to read the stickies and ask questions there.

Welcome to DV! It is nice to see that you come wanting a lucid lifestyle, not just "I wandered here and I want LDs ASAP as easy and as quick as possible, and ibwiol be gone in 2 weeks.

I also watched GizE. Weird, thought he was still active. He lost his belief in himself on posting tutorials it seems. He posted a bunch of things people consider "misinformation" concerning SP and things, and he hasn't been the same since.

and I liked him a lot.

I say. So many of you big people on this site are paying attention to me on this thread; it must take up time with a lot of other people on this website.

Well, yeah. I know it's not that easy as to just read a couple of articles and then immediately become an expert at lucid dreaming, with perfect dreams every night and everything. I want to make a greater commitment to my journey as an oneironaut, with the hope that, in exchange, I'll get the most out of my lucid dreams (optimum dream control, awareness, vividness, etc.)! I aspire to the point where I have great lucid dreams like that nearly every night; but I know it's not gonna happen... well, overnight.

Well, he hasn't been gone that long... Maybe he'll come back after all?

Thanks! Hmm. Seems more complicated than a normal dream journal; but I suppose it's worth it. But a question, if I can ask it, right here: What do you mean by the 'tags' section of a dream journal? I'm a bit confused by that. I write down noteworthy elements in my dreams under 'possible dream signs,' how do tags differ from that?
