      Beginner

      Hi everyone!
I'm really new to lucid dreaming. Only started a week ago. I heard about it in high school but never really read much into it then stumbled across an article recently on it and thought it sounded really awesome! Seriously though, this past week that's all I can think about is LDing, lol. Anyways, I've been doing RC and keeping a DJ and have been remembering 2-4 dreams every night though they aren't very clear. I haven't been able to LD yet but have been trying different techniques. Nothing seems to really work but I know it can take a while so I'm not giving up! If you have any tips that would be great! Thanks!

Welcome, ksera13. Glad to hear about your enthusiasm for LDing. Just continue to think about LDing and RC and you are bound to have an LD earlier or later. Different people experience them at different pace though. One thing: you say you are trying different techniques. You may want to stay with one technique for a while and only then move to another - that's supposed to work better than switching techniques too frequently. All the best!

Thanks for the input JoannaB! I will definitely just stick with one technique.

Welcome! As far as tips go, keep up with the DJ, the attention and memory flexing that it involves has benefitted me. Also, hang in there and enjoy the process, it took me more than 30 continuous days of dedicated practice to get that first LD. So worth the effort! Enjoy, and may you effortlessly recognize the dream state!
