      new old curiosity

I just found this site and thought I could tackle the project lucid dreaming again

about 2 years ago I joined a german forum about lucid dreaming, and I already learnt tons of facts about it. I used that forum for a few months, I wrote my dreams down, I got better and better, but it didn't work. I was so close, I had several pre-lucid dreams, they were really intense and I dreamed everyday 2-3 dreams, unless I decided "I don't want to dream today" before I went to bed, and that was exactly the problem... I got busier and I didn't have time for dreaming anymore, so I just always said to myself "I don't have time to think about dreamings" and suddenly I stopped dreaming
but I'll try again, and maybe I'll finally be able to learn it... I never had a lucid dream, never even unintentionally. However, I'm fairly good at meditation, I'm able to get to a trance state in which I can have vivid dreams, without really sleeping... but as soon as I fall asleep, I lose all the control
anyway, I'm Conscience and I'm trying to visit the worlds of my subconscious
      nice to meet you

Edit: Argh, I just read a few threads, I WANT THIS, it sounds so awesome and refreshing... I'll try harder this time

Welcome to DV, nice to meet you too . Since you are good at meditation you should give WILD a try, just try to keep stabilization techniques and Reality Check techniques fresh in your head before trying to lucid dream. And good luck.

thanks for welcoming me this seems to be a friendly forum
I was close with both, DILD and WILD... I guess my biggest problem was trying everything at once (MILD as well)
this time I'll focus on one technique before I change it (or keep it, in case it works well)
I'll explore the forum and wiki now, to build up my knowledge again

You could try SSILD also, in my opnion is the easiest way of having a lucid dream without too much training. The only thing about it is that there's a chance of having an accidental OBE (out of body experience), at least happened to me and happened to other users in the forum, so I suggest that you dont try it unless you are ready for an OBE. Some people have an amazing experience with OBEs others have an scary one. Anyway here's is the link of the tutorial if you decide to try http://www.dreamviews.com/induction-...ml#post1848643

oh thanks, I'm definitely prepared for OBE... my dad had one and it sounded interesting
I might try it sporadically, if it doesn't interfere with my plans. I think I should start with easier methods (not with stuff like WILD), but in any case thank you very much for your help
I just read the basic concept and it sounds great for me. Firstly because I like following some easy rules (unlike the DILD and WILD rules), and secondly it could be easier for me coz I trained meditation and self-hypnosis very often and I'm already good at it
I'm tempted to try it every day actually... I'll keep you posted if I had some good results with it
