Young or old or where inbetween?

OK...Hello all..I'm somewhat new here and have read quite a lot of posts and there seems to be a lot of young people on this forum. How many middle-aged or seniors do we have here?

I'm in the senior category.....which category do you fit in?

There is a poll in 'The Lounge" that is about age. It shows only about 6% of our members are 36 or older. I am 43.

I've gotten the impression that there are plenty of adults or old-timers among the more active users. I'm 42, but I never took that poll. >.>

EDITED: Lol, I posted that last night, but today I did the math and realized that I'm really 41. A whippersnapper! But with the brain of a forgetful senior...

      It is 2015, right?

Maybe all it means is that the younger members are more likely to surf The Lounge, and take polls.

      I'm not quite in the 6% yet, I'm 33.

I suppose I fall into the 'senior' category at 62 years. This is my first post here. Was just looking at a very short thread the other day that included the tag 'elderly' but the last post was in 2012, and there were mostly only references about the fact that older folks never LD because they don't have the free time, have too many responsibilities, and of course not as much REM sleep, so I didn't see the point of posting there--all this also seemed to be making the young posters very sad too! While all the above is true, I've been LD'ing since I was 20 or so. I certainly don't LD as much as I did then but I do manage to have at least one once a week still. I highly value regular meditation as a catalyst, which although also gets harder to keep a regular schedule on as the years go by, I find the effort is worth it--you just have to do what you can do. You definitely have to be creative--the bathroom is a very good place to meditate. So there's still hope for all you 'whippersnappers.' I will check out the poll.
