Hello fellow dreamers.
I have registered in this forum as I have grown interest into achieving lucidity.
Dreams have always felt as another world to me. I spent childhood with stress and fears so dreaming felt sometimes refreshing and giving me the experiences that I needed to achieve happiness.
I was very good at lucid dreaming until 12 but then grew apart to this world as I started sleeping worse .
Now I am 22 years old and I would like to lucid dream again for searching a dream character that helped me on the hard times to say thanks to her.
I know it is a silly reason , but it means a lot to me and I will work hard for finding her.
I started reading the recommended posts and I try some blue cheese before sleeping for increasing my chances.
Wish I can get to meet you better and I can somehow help this great community

We're happy to have you here. Good luck finding your dream character. By the way, have you heard of the anima/animus? She might be your anima. It's a Jungian term for the feminine part of a man's psyche in the unconscious.

I heard the terms that you mentioned on a subreddit but I will investigate more about the Junglan culture (which I have learned thanks to you , is the first time I hear this term).
I will read the recommended links to get started , thank you!
(Btw , How can I change my profile photo? I have been able to change my profile page colours but didn't find the setting)

Welcome to the forum Harucross. I don't think it's silly at all to want to thank that dream character. Even if she is a part of you that only you will ever really know, why wouldn't it make sense to thank that part for helping you when you needed it?

Hopefully this'll help you. If you go to the control panel (top right of any page, next to log out, etc.), in there, on the left side there will be two pages: "Edit Profile Picture" and "Edit Avatar". I can't remember which is which, but I think one will change your image for the main forum, and the other will change it only for certain pages, like the dream journal. I just use the same for both.

How do I set signatures, avatars, and profile pictures?

You can set and change your signature, avatar, and profile picture in the User Control Panel.

For signatures, click on 'Edit Signature' under the 'Settings and Options' area of the navigation bar within the User CP.

To select an existing or upload a new avatar, click on 'Edit Avatar'.

To upload a profile picture, click on 'Edit Profile Picture' in the 'Your Profile' section.
